All Terrain V-125

\very pleased with the product. Less hard work than the Hoover and carpets much dryer. The noise is a problem but we use the machine when it will not affect others. It is also more economical on solutions.We are very pleased with our purchase and found the comments page useful before we actually bought.

Love it. Easy to use, strong build and cheaper via Vacation than high street stores. We bought this as we were toilet training our daughter and after a few accidents, her bedroom carpet stunk. After cleaning with this the smell had gone. The rest of the house will get regular fresh ups aswell. Very pleased with it and couldn't recommended any more.

What a great bit of kit, yes it is a great design and does what it says on the box, I am really impressed especially with the price of the unit, I washed a 15 year old red patterned carpet and it came up looking new totally revitalised,the look and smells clean. The controls are easy to use what I really like is that you can switch between wash and rinse with just a button selection unlike my old machine where I had to put rinse water in the detergent tank.This is very economic on the carpet detergent as it is in a separate tank and only mixes on wash. If you are thinking of buying this Vax unit then I would say go head. it was delivered with in 5 days of purchase from the website.

I used the the Vax v-125 as soon as I got it and was very impressed with this piece of kit. I checked reviews before I bought it and the only thing people complained about was the weight of the machine which I think is nonsense its lighter than my normal vacuum to push even when full.The best feature about the Vax is how quick and convenient it is to use its a matter of put water and shampoo in then plug it in and push. Another bonus for this machine is how quick it is to strip down and clean takes 5 mins if that.I took it too my friends house to clean his rug and he was embarrassed bye the amount of dirt that came out of his rug he couldn't believe it.The carpet is barely wet when finished either takes a couple of hours at the most. 10/10 for the designers of this machine

This machine works better than the last one I hired from a tool hire shop. It cleans the carpet well and even a pale blue carpet by the front door which was matted and brown looks better after just one go. It also gets the carpet much drier than the last one I hired. My only real criticism would be that it is extremely noisy and after just 'having a go' to see how it worked, my ears were ringing! Next time I use it I will definitely wear a pair of ear defenders and I think that it is a shame Vax do not recommend ear protection for use of more than say 10 minutes - they could even include a pair of cheap ear defenders in the box!

This has made my rugs look as good as new and probably already paid for itself based on the cost of professional cleaning. The downside is it is a heavy machine and I found it really difficult to move on a textured rug which was the first item I cleaned, I have used the hose and hand tool on subsequent rugs. I think it would be a nightmare to balance on stairs! So far I am really pleased with it, and glad I got it for half price at

Excellent piece of kit - cleaned better than the hire equipment I usually use. The cleaning solution would be better in a larger more economical size, otherwise it gets expensive to clean the whole house.

Much easier to use than original model as don't have to press hard to get vacuum to work; also brushes are good introduction. Carpets aren't as wet as used to happen with old model.

This was a fantastic purchase, we have two dogs and was always having to hire cleaning machines or have someone in to do carpets and flooring and upholstery but this is great, not need to hire or book anyone now we can do it ourselves as and when required a huge money saving too.

Found to be slighly heavy and hose attachment seems flimsy. It does what it says in the literature. Peace of mind with the 6 year guarantee.Very pleased with it.

Very pleased with my new machine. Cleaned the carpets extremely well, and left them reasonably dry.
Not too sure about the floor cleaning side of it, as it did not appear to pick up the water too well.

Found the V-125 does everything we need it too, due to illness our carpets have not been cleaned for a couple of years, however have now used the machine twice and the difference is amazing. The machine drying capabilities is worth the extra as within a couple of hours the carpets can be walked on without any problems.

The only down side I can think of is that it is quite heavy, so you may need help in getting it up and down stairs if you were planning on cleaning the bedroom or landing carpets.

Love love love it! 100% recommend buying one of these. My carpets look fab. If you are 5ft nothing like me I would advise to carry the clean/dirt water containers seperately up/down the stairs and carry the cleaner on its own....it makes the cleaner more manageable for someone of a smaller stature.

FANTASTIC!!! The best money I've spent. It arrived within 3 days, the instructions are easy to follow, and getting started is quick and easy too. It is a bit on the noisy side, but i just put my IPod on and listened to my favourite tunes whilst cleaning. My carpets are looking great, cat smells are gone, work men stains are gone and my carpets smell lovely. Vax machines have always been reliable and this one has not failed to disappoint me.

I used to have the same type of carpet washer before by Bissell when I lived in America, just did not have the change of brush from carpet to hard floor and was only $99, it worked so well I wanted the same and was delighted when I discovered the Vax. It works great, but the top bucket leaks quite a bit. I don't know if this is normal? As I have only used it once as I have only had the item 2 weeks. If it leaks again, I will have to contact Vax as this is worrying as I don't want it to damage anything and don't want to spent ages mopping up my floor and wiping the vax dry, even the wheels where the water was leaking onto them.
I have read reviews before I bought this item and noticed that a few people said the item was very heavy. It is quite heavy, but I only weigh 8 stone and have no problem moving it about even when filled with water
I will give it high marks because of the proformance, it cleans really well, even old tough stains, like oil and paint and when used correctly drys very quickly.

We cannot fault this machine, it does exactly what it says on the tin, so to speak.

The product performs well, I am happy with its results and operation. Although your instructions seem in need of more diagrams and clearer descriptions.

My biggest complaint is that the product arrived to me incomplete, I had to call customer service for two missing parts that were not in the box.

However your customer service dept were helpful and I had the missing parts within the week.

A very impressive cleaner, but surprised to find one or two components not robust enough to expect them to last very long.

Cleaning a 3 year old carpet certainly brought up a filthy load of water, but I had to stop and dismantle the brush heads twice to remove fluff which had clogged up these heads. It made a great impression on a black greasy stain caused by my reclining sofa - hopefully another session will do even better.

Off to a friend's house to try the hard floor settings. She had just bought an old cottage and thrown out a disgusting landing carpet that had been soaked through - whether soggy bathers or incontinent dogs we really didn't want to guess!! The wooden floor was wet and sticky, so gave it a thorough session on the hard floor setting and almost miraculously removed the problem ready for a new carpet to be laid. Maybe not exactly what this was designed for, but a very impressive adaptation.

Dog stained stair carpet was the next target, using the hand held attachment. Initially failed, but after a few minutes of fiddling I managed to identify and fix a pinched shampoo supply hose. Not sure whether this damage will lead to early failure, but rather annoying.

I have real problems getting the top tank to either fix securely, or to feel secure. It all feels a bit wobbly and vague - lacks a good firm click to encourage you to trust the fittings are correct.

Finally, looking at the price of spare parts, I'm tempted to buy a 2nd machine and take the parts off it - way, way cheaper option . . . .

Now I just need to make some more space in the garage to store the machine, as it's pretty bulky!

I used to hire other well known brands of carpet cleaner and i have now purchased a Vax 125 All terrain carpet cleaner and the Vax to my thinking is far better and i wished i had purchased one years ago.it is absolutely 1st class thank you Vax.

Initial impression: ABSOLUTELY DEAFENING!! A really screaming whine from it. It frightened the dogs! It seems good at cleaning and drying so far, as are the cleaning solvents you supply. I don't like the flex tidy. The hose and attchments seem fine.

We are very pleased with the v-125 All Terrain carpet cleaner because the results achieved so far have been very good indeed. Yes, the machine is thirsty and is heavy but as in all things you get what you pay for. The cleaning of the brush unit is a little difficult because the flick gets in awkward places and the brush cover large moulding is particulary difficut to remove on our machine. Never the less this is a tool that one can look forward to using for a long time to come

Straight forward to use & cleans brilliantly. Easy to empty and clean. My only criticism is that it is extremely noisy and makes your ears ring after using it for a while! Ear defenders are recommended!!

A excellant machine, it replaced the Bissell pro heat which we had that was unreliable. It bit heavy but did an excellant job.

Not put the V125 to much use as yet . The recent weather has hardly been conducive to serious carpet cleaning !! We have however had a trial run on a carpet of some 8ft x 4ft which had recently been steam cleaned and the result was remarkable , the colour of the water in the return tank spoke volumes as to the cleaning power on what was supposedly a cleaned carpet ( so much for steam cleaning )The colour of the carpet has been restored , it feels better & the degree of dryness it left was as all that it says on the tin ,to paraphrase another product . This washer is definately what it says!!! It has restored my carpets back to its almost new condition and the best thing is after washing its almost dry.. The VAX solutions leave a lovely fresh scent after cleaning and this is cheaper than buying from major stores. Bit tricky at first to assemble but the main assembly is already done for you. I found the hose for cleaning the stairs difficult to understand and use but the helpline can help with that plus 6 years guarantee is well worth it. Thankyou...

Bought a VAX125 in a

couldn't believe the results. Cleaned white carpet to a flat that had been down several years and dirty from London grime. The results were amazing. Machine is not too big and handles well. You do have to empty tanks quite often but thats OK as you also see the dirty water showing how much dirt has been removed from carpet. Good investment.

This is a fantastic machine, easy to use and very effective. Wish I had bought it when my carpets were new.

As yet i've used the V-125 to clean carpets and hard flooring, not tried the upholstery attachment yet. It is so easy to use & cleaned my carpets a treat. they dried very quickly too. I have a tiled kitchen floor which had ingrained dirt which was difficult to remove using a mop plus our dog constantly brings in dirt from the garden. The hard floor brushes made easy work of this and brought them up like new.
It's the best purchase we've made for years - didn't know how much we needed it until we used it. The upholstery is next on tyhe list so i hope it's a success too. Who needs the professionals in when you've this fantastic machine on hand 24/7.

Fantastic performance, my carpets are like new again. Simple to operate and easy to use, despite being alittle on the heavy side. Taking full advantage of its multifunction settings and being able to use it on hard floors is proving very useful, although I have yet to use the hand held attachment. Only down point would be that it is alittle thirsty on the cleaning solution. However, an absolute must for a family home, purchase of the year for me!

Its a giant and a bit weighty but a very good cleaner. Had a stain on my stair carpet that I couldn't shift with an off the supermarket shelf product, this machine cleaned it 1st time.... Can't fault the V-125 All Terrain apart from the price, but well worth it!

Used it on my ceramic kitchen & dining room floor. Lovely shine finish once dry and even though I have a dog, it seems to stay cleaner longer. Better finish than I had with a steamer. Haven't used it on carpet yet but am sure I will not be disappointed. It is heavy but end result well worth it.

Wow, what a wonderful machine. Used Vax for years and had the 3-1 cylinder wash and vacuum vax. The older models were great but the new one was poor and disappointing for a vax. Poor washing and poor suction. However this V-125 all terrain is amazing!. The instructions are easy if you sit and read them carefully and the diagrams are helpful. The machine is easy to fill up with bucket style carrying handles and easy to put together. The machine does use a lot of carpet cleaning solution but the vax ultra solution does a fantastic job of removing stains. The key to this machine is to use it very slowly once forwards and backwards and then forwards and backwards over the same piece of carpet as the book states. The very slow movement helps to really brush out the deep down stains. The machine is easy to push and glides along the floor. The power wire is long, so ideal if power sockets are not close by. It is a noisy machine which seemed fine at first but after a while your ears do ring with the noise, so found my pair of ear plugs really helped and now I can happily vax away. Maybe something vax should supply as standard to make the high pitch noise more bearable. The cleaning results are amazing, so much better than any other vax I have ever owned in the past 20 years. The carpets are wet but can still be walked on and brought old dirty tired carpets back to life. A truely amazing machine, love it ! Well done vax! Please consider supplying some ear plugs on a lead (head phone style) for a more comfortable customer experience! Machine was worth the money and the discount offer on the vax direct website was a bonus. Delivered quickly with no problems and a 6 year guarantee makes this vax a valuable purchase for any home. A large, heavy machine but it comes ready assembled so all you have to do is take it out of the box, clip on the hose/tool caddy and away you go. The controls are clearly marked and conveniently positioned on the handle, and the accompanying instruction manual is clear and well written, so it's almost impossible to go wrong.

Works great on carpet, bringing up the pile nicely and leaving it barely damp to the touch. The recovered water was a nasty shade of brown, which shows how well the machine works. Filling and emptying the tanks is easy, and cleaning the unit after use is fairly simple as the nozzle and brushes clip off without the need for tools.

Downsides? Dribbles water everywhere in use from underneath. The hose connection to the machine feels flimsy and I doubt it will last long, even with extreme care. It's also very loud, especially when cleaning hard floors - in a tiled room the noise reverberates around you to the point where it soon becomes unbearable. After doing the kitchen and bathroom my ears were ringing, so I won't be using it for this purpose again; rather annoying considering that was the reason I opted for this particular model in the first place.

Overall it does work well, but the negatives outweigh the positives for me. Had very high hopes for this product but it's proving to be a big disappointment.

Made the carpet dry after use but the handle on the dirty reservoir snapped off and also when using the lance to clean my car seat the handle/trigger leaked water so made the seat worse than before. When i rang the help line the person on the other end was great and replaced the vax with a new one as only 4days old. I haven't yet tried the new one yet due to the weather

having used bissell over the years, we decided to try the vax. What a difference. The machine is a joy to use, very easy to clean. We were considering buying a new carpet, but after useing the Vax, our carpet looked like new. Best buy we have made.

The cleaner is everything I expected it to be. It did a wonderful job of cleaning an old carpet. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to have wonderful new looking carpets.

Easy to fill up and empty, works better then expected and easy to use, amazing how much dirt comes out, the only slight downside is, it is a little bit heavy and very noisy, but wearing ear defenders sorts that problem out.

I bought this product mainly to clean my tiled floors.I have only used it once so far but it did a good job.I thought it did use rather a lot of cleaning fluid though and this could make it expensive to use.I haven't used it on my carpets yet but I did use a similar vax cleaner that I had borrowed on them previously so I know it will work well.

Absolutley brilliant! Very easy to use. Does not use a lot of the cleaner solution as some other reviews have suggested.Uses much less cleaner than the Bissell cleaner.
Cleans carpet really well with the brushes on the carpet setting or on the flat floor setting. Brilliant at removing the water from the carpet and leaves almost dry.

Both water containers easy to fill and drain out.

Quite heavy but is a powerful machine and does a good job.

The Bissell leaves the carpet very wet in comparison. Have had 2 Bissells before both stopped spraying water within the first year.Not cleaning so well and leaving carpet quite wet.

I have had this only a few weeks but used it a lot already (due to an old dog who a bladder problem)
I haven't used the hand tools yet but easy to attach.

Having used a variety of cleaners I have found the V-125 The Best. Really easy to use, although quite heavy for a lightweight like me, but so impressed with its performance that I do not mind the weight as this will help keep me fit!
Cleaned tiles and carpets in no time at all and very little drying time required because of the heat.
Overall an excellent performance.

In appearance a sturdy pleasant "will do the job" machine.
At closer inspection it seems to be a bit "plastic" and I was a little concerned that I might break something, fortunately it isn't that flimsy.
The assembly instructions indicated screwing on components that had already been fitted, not a problem in itself however one of the screws had been overtightened (slightly cracking the plastic) and the other was loose!!
The attachments holder is a little more cumbersome that is acceptable and falls off when the unit is in use, so unless I'm doing something wrong needs a rethink.

as far as operation of the VAX we are more than happy with its operation and performance.
The only one small problems is that the fluid runs out but unlike with the waste container the machine continues to operate (dry !)....

Overall we are happy with it.

Excellent results with this vax on carpet that hasnt been cleaned ever in its 14 year life. Seems to bring the carpet colour and pile back to life.My only grumble is the accessories rack hanging on the back which tends to fall off when you are removing dirty water - could have been fixed better. But on the plus side it can be taken off and hung on a hanger out of the way. Good product - no hesitation in recommending.

It takes a while to learn how to use this but be patient and read all the instructions and you'll get the hang of it. Once you get started and know how everything works and where everything goes it's brilliant on carpets. My cream 10 year old carpet looks new again (its in a high traffic area, and I have 2 dogs). It's not hard work physically to use like other cleaners I've tried. You have to be ready with an old cloth to put under the cleaner when you've finished because the dirty water seeps back out onto your carpet when you turn it off!! I wouldn't bother using this on hard floors, it just makes them soaking wet and not much cleaner. It's really hard to get some of the parts off especially the front cover which feels like it's going to break when you try to remove it.

The V-125 All Terrain is a fantastic machine which all that it is claimed to do. I find that it really is quite simple to use, and the cleaning power of it is quite amazing. Many of our carpets are good quality which deserve a clean after about 5 years now, and they have come up just like new, with the pile lifted like one would expect frpm a new carpet.
This machine is not cheap to buy, but well worth what we paid for it.

Very easy to set up and use. Carpets look clean and smell very fresh. Couldn't manage some old stains, but mostly it did an excellent job.
Uses a lot of water and solution, but then again I did clean a large bedroom, 30ft living/dining room and a 30ft hallway (used almost all of the litre bottle of solution) so maybe that's about right. Most of the water used comes back up though, so the carpets are just damp when you are finished and dry quickly. Very good product.

I love it! It is very easy to use, nothing complicated at all. I am petite, and I wasn't sure if this model won't be too big and too heavy for me, but soon as I started using it my doubts disappeared. It is not noisy that much, but when I was about to finish cleaning all carpets in my 2 bedroom flat, the noise started to be a bit annoying. The tanks are easy to be cleaned, and a cord is long but very often gets in a way, so had to be very careful about it.
I was very pleased with a water suction as carpet was nearly dry, when I finished cleaning it, and with a final look of the carpets as they were really clean. All in all it is a great product, I would recommend it to everyone.
I am a mum of 2 year old son, and now my life is much easier, knowing that in case of any spills or foot prints on my cream colour carpet, I have my All Terrain to take care of it. Do not hesitate buying it.:)

The V-125 All Terrain transformed my carpets - not only cleaning but also raising the pile again via the rotating brushes - making them 'like new'. The carpets were left virtually dry - and were 'usable' again within a couple of hours. My only criticism would be that the machine is pretty noisy - but that is a small price to pay for the end result.

Good quality and it was delivered within a couple of days of ordering. We cleaned our cream coloured Hall carpet which other than normal hoovering had not been cleaned for six years, it came up like new and it was dry within a couple of hours. The solution may be a bit expensive, but it is still cheaper than hiring professional cleaners or buying a new carpet. Yet to try it on our hard floors, but I am confident that it will be just as good. Good price at

I found my new Vax V-125 easy to assemble and it has cleaned the carpet very well, I am pleased with the results. On the down side, I do find it very noisy and it does use rather a lot of cleaner liquid.

It is good and handy machine but would love if it can make little less sound. Need to clean carpet at slow speed, it is better to see the demo on site for the speed of cleaning first.....
If you try to clean very fast may not see the result as expected.
Be careful while removing machine from the Box on arrival. Lifting slot is tricky and need to know in advance from box.

I am extremely impressed with the product, the cleaning power is amasing. My carpets have new looked so clean. Well worth the money.

i have already used my terrain it took marks out that my bex bissel did not the only thing ie we are unable to set it up for hard floors

hi delivery was really quick i thought the machine was very good alot better than the bissel i had. easy to use even on stairs the suction was great i even did my mothers carpets which hadn't been done for along time brought them up like new

Good looking machine. Enough tools to do all the jobs - big and little. Main objection would like a more powerful suction, less noise and wheels that don't deviate from the line of wash. Other than that very easy to use and clean out afterwarads

I have been using a Bissel for years so am kicking myself now that I have purchased a Vax! The cleaning performance is markedly superior, greater water capacity reducing the number of times you need to refill, and I got my machine at a bargain offer price.

Downsides - the stair tools are not so good, and if you have a light coloured carpet then you may want to stand the cleaner on a towel to protect the carpet underneath whenever you use the tools. Plus the top water tank is difficult to engage properly, mine has fallen off three times now during operation.

Other pluses are that the machine is very easy to dismantle and clean, unlike my previous cleaner - and a great 6 year warranty.

Up to now l am very pleased with it.

I am absolutely delighted. From placing my order my goods were delivered in just a few days. Easy to follow set up instructions. I started to use in high traffic areas,I used the rinsing option although this is not always necessary. I just couldn`t believe how soft my carpets felt after just this initial treatment.I am now working my way around the house.Thank you Vax this machine certainly lives up to all that I expected & more.

As a cleaner I wasn't sure that the Vax V-125 would be powerful enough to do a decent job. I needn't have worried. It's done an excellent job on the carpet I've just cleaned, in fact a much better job than a lot of the industrial machines I've used. It's coped admirably with some heavily soiled parts & some parts I was sure I've have to "spot" I didn't. Particularly like the "SpinScrub". One very small drawback; got fed up with trying to hang the tools on - keep 'em in a box, much better!

brilliant.....so glad i got it. did my worst carpet ( i have pets) without pretreating and i was amazed.

What a supper machine, I had an XL but told all friends & family then it was never here. This is better BUT I can not belive the amount of solution/detergent it is drinking, so much so that I contacted Vax & they sent me a new solution/water tank but it made no difference & with the detergent at the price it is it makes an expensive BUT good job.I would have liked to be able to switch off the brushes like the XL so you only remove the water, but it is very good at that too any way.Going back to the detergent problem I am thinking about making the peg, that opens the valve to the detergent when you put the water/detergent tank onto the machine, a little shorter, so it opens the valve less, I know that would invalidate the warrantee, the other solution would be dilute the detergent which would keep the warrantee in tact.But any way there is no dought it is the top dog in it's field, may be it should come with some ear muffs, it is quite loud, are you listening Vax ?. I still would not change it though, only improve it.

Fantastic product, leaves carpets very clean and almost dry. Delivery service was also fantastic from ordering online on the Vax website. A very happy customer!

Very easy to use. Liked the filling and emptying and components are easy to clean. Did an excellent job on the carpets and rugs. No problems using the handtool on easy-chairs and stair carpets. Great improvement on my previous Vax Rapide.

Having previously worked as a In Store Demonstrator for Vax I am aware of this product and it capabilities. I am pleased with my purchase, however a little disappointed that I could only do my lounge with the amount of cleaning fluid provided, before needing to purchase more. Have yet to use on sealed hard floor but sure it will do just as good a job. Also, the holder for the hose and attachments is not very good and could be a little more substantial in its manufacture. All told, a very good machine.

Excellent results. Easy to use with minimum effort.
My carpet is eight years old in an open plan environment so is subject to heavy usage by both people and dogs. The All Terrain has brought it back to its original colour and my home smells fresh. Thank you Vax

Excellent!! We have just moved house and the previous owners had cats! With a young
baby just starting to crawl I wanted clean carpets! This really did the trick the carpets have
come up like new and I'm much happier knowing they are clean! Still got to try out hard floor
cleaner but so far very happy!

The Vax Terrain is FABULOUS, AMAZING and I think it is the best purchase I have made in long time. I did my bathroom carpet first and was amazed, I kept having to go back and check the marks hadn't come back! I have a cafe which is carpeted and as you can expect after six weeks of childrens holidays it was looking rather shabby. I spent an hour cleaning the carpet with my super duper Vax Terrain and the next day everyone thought we had had a new carpet fitted. Highly recommended, every home should have one.

Fantastic product for the sale price

After over 20 years using a Vax 2000 multifunction cleaner without any problems whatsoever I decided to invest in the latest technology. I should have done it sooner! From the most competitive price,(Vax direct), to super fast delivery, the actual use of the V125 has been a revelation. With 2 small grandchildren & 2 dogs I felt almost ashamed by the amount of dirt this machine removed. Even stubborn stains were no match for the Ultra plus cleaning fluid. I would, however advise anyone to read the instructions carefully. Do check exactly how the various components are fitted & removed before actually using the machine. Doing this I avoided any spillage.Drying times, on a mild day were less than 2 hours. As with all things there is some criticism.Yes, it is noisy but so is my Dyson. I'm in my 70's & it is a little heavy,however removing the hose attachment & 2 water tanks, climbing 14 stairs was no problem.
I would ask the designer to look at a better method of graduating the fluid trigger mechanism.Fluid consumption can be very high if heavy handed. Otherwise I would recommend this product unreservedly.

The V-125 is an excellent machine and I am pleased to recommend it. The V-125 simply does what it says on the label. It thoroughly cleans carpets. We were really surprised just how dirty were our carpets. Five year old carpets now look like new. That's no exageration. It is very straightforward to use and does the job really quickly.

Excellent ,for a carpet cleaner only intended for the average home we were pleasantly surprised by its performance and power. My 101yr old father lives with us and we were about to replace some of his carpets however this hard working machine has saved us this expense and I am happier to know that a cup of coffee or some paint ,he is an artist ,can be removed easily with your product. Peace of mind at last. Trying to think of something negative, I guess larger water containers but then the machine would be too heavy to move around easily.

all i can say is WOW i cant stop useing it and it does a brill job on all my floors and when my mum seen it she loves it to i had to do all her 3 bedroom house we both think its great and the price is brill to.

Fantastic machine, I didn't realise just how dirty the carpets were!! The laminate floors came up like new, guess what, they were dirty too even though they are cleaned regularly. What a bargain price as well. Thanks very much.

So far, have used to clean a cream bedroom and a beige landing stairs carpets. Results for both were very good and could be walked on within hours.

Best thing l ever brought! I purchased this to clean my large tiled kitchen floor, with two dogs running in and out of the garden everyday come rain or shine the floor was quite a chore. And l was using a decking brush to scrub then mop, then bath towels to dry floor. But the all terrain takes all the hard work out of it now, clean floor, that is left quite dry. I am also very pleased with the carpet cleaning ability. Yes it is noisy but l put my headphones on and listen to music.

This cleaner has brought up our carpets to look like new. It is very easy to use infact it's not much different than using a standard Vax. The carpets are dry enough after use to use as normal with no waiting to dry. We found it easier to use without the attachments fitted to machine but they just clip on easily after use.
Also they are very easy to attach when you need to use them for the stairs and furninure.

Hi, I should had used it long time ago but it's not too late though because the result is really amazing. The carpet looks clean and new the downside is it uses a lot of solution I think. And also the corners is very difficult to clean because the nozzel and the brush doesnt reach it.

Cleans very well. Its a bit heavy to move about. Not good for small areas owing to its size. Despite my weakness in lifting it does clean better than our old bissell, easy enough to clean after use. Overall i dont think there could be a better machine on the market. I just hope the revolving brushes dont wear out too quickly.

Seems an excellent machine, haven't used it extensively but but it is well built and easy to use.

I have just tried out my new vax on my mothers carpets and they have cleaned up great. They hadnt been cleaned before so i was well impressed. Its a great cleaner and i bought it for a bargain price. Cant fault the performance of this vax.

A very effective carpet cleaner! Once you have read, and understood the instructions I found it very easy to operate. I used it to clean the carpet in our living room and was amazed with the results!...Far better than any other 'home' carpet cleaner I have used. In fact my wife remarked that it was as good, if not better, than the 'professional' cleans we have had done in the past!

I can't comment on it's ability to clean hard floors as we have not used it on them yet.....

If I was to be 'picky' the negatives would be..the instructions were a little difficult to follow in places, and it took me quite a while to figure out how to store the hose on the caddy in the correct manner!
It is noisy but if it cleans carpets effectively I can live with that!
Anyone using the V-125 for the first I would recommend that they are familiar with locating and removing the holding tanks before filling them with water etc.

Great machine, cleans deep down and brilliant on stains. Easy to use. A little bit heavy to push when the water tank is full but as it goes down it gets easier. The water tank is a bit of a fiddle until you get use to it and I have found that if you leave the detergent in it when your not using it it tends to leak into the main water chamber but that is easy to rectify by pouring it back in. Love the machine. I have had another brand before but this one is far superior.

With the difficulty of first deciding which model to buy and then best price, I was surprised to find that VAX themselves had the keenest deal. The V-125 arrived promptly - (don't be overwhelmed by the size of the box!), and with only a few parts to put together, soon ready for action.
I have to admit my carpets have never been cleaned in their 10 years existance - with a house full of kids and animals there seemed little point, particularly when in 'those olden days' it took hours to dry.
The V-125 is a bit of a beast! It's certainly no lightweight so it's worth removing the water tank, if full, if you have to carry the cleaner upstairs.
As for performance; vacuum well first so you don't clog the filters etc. I was a bit disappointed at the ammount of shampoo we got through on the first attempt, but after subsequent uses I realised I could not have clicked the feeder tank home properly. In fact we did the whole house on a 1.4ltr bottle. Some have commented on the noise of the machine, but I didn't find it excessive - you're not likely to want conversations whilst using it though!
The results on first pass were almost unbelievable! Water returning to the tank was the colour of Guiness and I was thankfull there was nobody watching as I disposed of the evidence. Surprising too was how dry the carpet felt to touch, being able to return to normality soon after the operation. Our carpets are truly rejuvenated with both pile and colour returning to almost the original state.
The cleaner is also brilliant for 'spot cleaning' With an elderly dog in the house, 'accidents' will happen. Before we relied on paper kitchen towel to mop up, but now the V-125 comes to the rescue.
To sum up, yes the V-125 is not the cheapest carpet cleaner around. I asked friends and neigbours before buying and was told not to bother as home cleaners could not compete with the likes of Rugmaster etc. I think it was money well spent and think I have converted some of the unbeleivers too. Well done VAX!

Great on Carpets and even better on hard floors. Cleaned the kitchen and hall hard floors, and the lounge and dining room carpets in a morning, amazing. worth every penny. Andy

Brilliant machine does very good job evan old stains.

Like the V-124a absolutely wonderful in carpet cleaning, also like the V-124a I find it too noisy. Think there should be ear-protectors provided with them, or a huge WARNING sign saying. NOISY EQUIPMENT. PLEASE PROTECT YOUR EARS.

All worked well once I sorted out how to put it together from the instructions,feel these could be improved, esp the diagrams!

This is a really magnificient carpet shampooer. I cleans deep down into the pile and removes embedded as well as surface dirt. The levels of clean water and shampoo are easy to keep a watch on and to refill. The dirty water tank is also easy to empty. I used to own a Bex Bissel but this is a far superior product.

I am very happy about service in Vax because when is something happen is very quick respond and return new product which is excellent...Well done for every one...

We are happy with our purchase as it has been the only cleaner we have used that has actually managed to get the carpet in the play room clean. We haven't yet been able to try it on the hard floor but we will in the coming weeks. It was a good purchase to spruce the house up ready for sale.

A good cleaner albeit a little noisy. Great for toddler spills and mistakes! However when doing a whole carpet it does use several tanks of water and soap. That said it does take up the water quite well.

Easy to use for me but my wife finds it a bit heavy. The suction power is very good and leaves hard surfaces no wetter than if you had used a mop and bucket. We have also used the small hand held accessories for dealing with dog paw prints on a light carpet rather than doing the whole room with good results. Overall very pleased with purchase

Carpet cleaning is excellent. Very noisy though - I wear ear defenders. Floor cleaning is disappointing; does not dry very well, and is a bit of a job changing over from carpet mode. My existing hand held vax dries floors much better. With hindsight, I would have bought the carpet only version, and continued with the old one for hard floors.

A quick, easy & thorough machine for dealing with household carpets and floors, we have been very impressed with the cleaning results and the drying times....would definatly recommend

Fantastic so far. Done both carpet & hard floors and both came up very well. We have 2 puppies now - hence the need!!

I have already used it twice and the results are amazing. The carpets have come up as new. I have yet to use it on hard floors.

Cleans well on carpets. Could use a much longer hose for cleaning stairs. Had to do top half from the top landing, being careful not to pull the machine downstairs on top of me, then carrying the machine downstairs (heavy when filled with liquids) to do the bottom half. I also have 13 stairs which is more than standard.

We are completely delighted with our new carpet cleaner. Despite the significant weight when fully filled, the cleaner is easy to use and very effective. We were about to replace our 9 year old living room carpet as we considered it beyond help but after being cleaned by the V-125 All Terrain we are going to be able to hold onto it for years. It looks like new.

Plus we used the cleaner on our tiled 27foot long kitchen floor and it saved me hours worth of work on my hands and knees scrubbing it.

This even beats our last cleaner which used steam.

very pleased with the cleaner. the rotating brushes really get into the carpet. seperate water tanks are a lot easier to work with
