Mach Zen Pet C91-MZ-P

It's brilliant! Sucks itself onto the carpet and only comes away from its mad suctioning clamp-on with great reluctance. Best ever customer service via your careline, too!

Generally good but a couple of niggles.
1 Awkward to carry. Whichever handle you lift it by it hangs at difficult angle.
2 Hose connections feel flimsy and I am not confident they will last long before breaking.
3 Filters need cleaning more frequently than previous cleaners.

I chose the Vax Mach Zen Pet after looking at lots of vacuum's and reading the reviews,I am so glad that I did, Yes it is quieter than any other machine I have used, and as a retired cleaner I have worked with quite a few,and although I have had Pet vacuum cleaners before I have never had one that worked so well, it is heavier than my past ones, but having said that it is also easier to use. So a big thanks to the Vax people

Really happy with this hoover which was a replacement.
We had our first Zen Pet hoover for a year after which unfortunalty it stopped working with a motor problem. Vax were very helpful and arranged collection and replaced the motor, but unfortunalty when we recieved it back it had been damaged in transit by UPS and the handle had been smashed.
Once again i contacted Vax who again were very helpful, and decided to replace the whole hoover with a brand new one. This arrived within a few days.
It is a great hoover, and with 3 hairy cats it is excelent at picking up all the hair, fluff and dirt they produce (we had a Dyson before, but find the Vax much better)
We never had any problems before with it and we're more than happy with it. Once it started cutting out Vax provided excellent customer service and we're really helpful. We we're assured by Vax that the motor problem with ours was very unusual.
I would recommend Vax, especially this hoover for people with pets- its much better than any other hoover we've tried and should you ever have a problem (which is unlikely) they are more than helpful.

In the past I have always bought Dyson Vacuum cleaners, but they are getting way over priced so I thought I would give the Vax C91-MZ-P Mach Zen Pet a go it seemed really reasonably priced!

Well what can I say its really powerful, alot more power than any Dyson I have ever had. I have two dogs that put down alot of hair, not a problem for the Mach Zen Pet and its "Turbo Brush" even my children like to use this vacuum cleaner!

10/10 for me!

I spent quite a lot of time researching pet vacuum cleaners, and found this on the internet. I couldn't find it in the shops to test it and ended up buying it blind from Vax on the internet.

The turbo tool does a good job on the carpet. There is a separate head for doing the lino floor which also works well, but it is slightly irritating that there is nowhere to store this on the machine so I end up carrying it around, putting it down somewhere and then searching for it. I haven't yet tried the other tools but they seem as expected. The machine itself is quite chunky (although no worse than the Dyson) and storing the machine takes up more space than my old Miele. It is very easy to empty out the waste. I haven't yet had to clean the filters but that looks quite easy too.

On the whole I am pleased with it and it is nice not having to buy bags any more!

We have had Dyson cleaners for the past few years now but having used the Vax C91-MZ-P Mach Zen Pet we have found it far superior to the Dyson. The only down size is the tools, there isn't an attachment for cleaning the stair carpet treads and the location of the tools in the handle seems a little clumsy for a good looking machine. Apart from that very pleased with the suction power and performance.

This machine was purchased with mainly the stairs in mind and it has proved to be an excellent purchase. Additionally, it has proved to be an all-round performer. I would not hesitate to recommend this machine as a definite all round excellent performer.

Its working very well now as a cleaner, but does not sit on stairs at all well. Needs a rethink, also, the device to reduce the suction is a bit fiddly and hardly one-handed, as its a bit stiff and not very ergonomic. Its reasonably light and quiet.

I am very happy with my new Vax. The only thing I miss is a tool for cleaning upholstry (not a problem for me, I found an old one that fitted and used that.

We have a 5month old long haired German Shepherd puppy who loves digging holes and bringing in sticks to chew as teething aids. The vax cylinder deals efortlessly with the mess she manages to make. It is very quiet and reasonably light and manoeuverable, the multie surface brush is small enough to go under most of my furniture. All in all a great improvement on my upright Dyson.

This is the first cylinder cleaner i have purchaced in years,and i am very pleased with it. It,s lightweight and easy to move around the house. The cleaning power is excellent. I only have one negative, and that,s where the flexible hose and handle fits into the telescopic extension tube, it,s not a great fit!! Apart from that one gripe, this machine is fantastic.

In my opinion this is an exellent vacuum,very quiet which is handy if you have got a nervous dog like mine. I noticed a difference in the carpet after the first use and was suprised at the amount of dog hair it picked up. A super product for the money.

This hoover is brilliant really good suction I have a white haired dog and it picks up hairs from carpets, up the stairs everywhere brilliantly, I am really pleased with this product even better than my old dyson. xxxxx

i have used my vax in the house where i have 3 dogs and also used it on the cars ,i can only sum up this product with one word brilliant.

FIRST TIME BUYER OF A VAX MACHINE & I AM VERY PLEASED WITH HOW LIGHT WEIGHT & QUIET THE VAX MACH ZEN PET IS. JUST GETTING TO GRIPS WITH EMPTYING & CLEANING FILTERS ETC. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM TO FRIENDS.

Like this vac. Only problem with it is the handle is not stable enough when connected to the tubes. It is hard to push in enough to stop it from just falling back out. It makes the vac feel rather cheap and tacky. The vac does seem to pick up nicely though.

The Mach Zen Pet is an excellent machine with great suction power, and probably half the noise level of many of its competitors.It is very easy to empty and store; and I would gladly recommend it.

My initial reaction is that the machine lives up to its promise and I am glad I purchased this over the Dyson I scrapped.

I bought this vax mach zen pet vacum because i have two dogs that both shed hair. After reading a lot of reviews i decided this was the vacum for me. It does exactly what it says it does it picks up all my dogs hair and dosent throw any back out like most other vacums i have had. I would deffinatly recomend this vacum to anyone who has dogs especially if they have laminate floors as i do. Thank you vax for a superb machine.

this vax was a replacement for a faulty one and i can say hand on heart this is a million times better then the model i had before .Its so powerful it picks up the kitchen flooring & the cable is a very good length.

Well what can i say, This hover is fantastic. It picks up everything in its path. I have a long haired white cat that leaves lots of hair all over my red carpet. Before I bought the Vax Mach Zen Pet I had a Dyson Animal that was ment to pick - up pet hair not a chance. The Vax is 1000 times more powerfull and my carpets now look like new thanks to your hover. Only regret is i din't get a Vax years a go.

Great vacum cleaner - quiet (compared to most other machines with similar power), seemingly endless capacity and as per the advertising - it just doesn't seem to loose suction!

It replaces an old Dyson cylinder cleaner and so far promises to be every bit as good without costing the earth, or waking the dead when switched on.

If there's one negative, it does feel a little plasticy in terms of build quality and the tools could do with "feeling" more robust. Everything feels solid enough though and it doesn't seem in any way fragile... just perhaps not quite as "bomb proof" as some of the Dyson models.

I purchased this cleaner to replace my Miele Cat & Dog (Top of their range, exact product number unknown). The Miele had worked very well indeed, my only criticism of it being that it was very heavy, and it was getting hard to source bags locally. I bought the VAX (ref number as above) as we already had a VAX carpet cleaner that worked very well, and I wanted bagless technology.
Overall I am reasonably satisfied with the new cleaner, but I found its "push-fit" plastic pipework connecting system rather fragile in feel, and would have preferred something like the Miele's more solid connecting system. Also, I found that, having once removed the crevice tool & small brush from the rather annoying carrying slot in the suction tube, I could not get them to fit in their slots again (and I'm not exactly dim, being qualified to postgraduate level!) It also takes a very strong person to remove the section that holds the debris for emptying.
On the plus side, it's quiet and efficient at gathering up dirt, so I expect I'll get use to the "Plastic" feel of the product as a whole.

I have a long haired white german shepherd dog. When she is casting its a nightmare as i have a black stair carpet. i had a dyson but it was no good for getting her hair up. I had a look at some reviews for other vaccum cleaners and ended up buying the vax and I have to say it is absoloutly brilliant. I no longer take hours to hoover instead its just minutes. It picks up her hair no problem at all. I would reccommend this cleaner to anyone.

We find the Vax a very good cleaner the carpet brush lift the pile and pick up dog hair. The only fault I can see will be after time the connecting parts could wear and would become a problem to stay together otherwise no problem. Our previous cleaner was a Filter Queen which had spring buttons which always held these parts together. Stanley

I am very impressed with the power, quietness and the efficiency of the cleaner, in all respects - except for the 2 in 1 dusting brush and upholstery tool. This is a complete disaster. The rotating 4 position click mechanism is so loose that it is useless.

Brilliant, previously had a dyson & this vax is far superior comparing when both machines were brand new

The suction on the machine is amazing and used with the normal brush attachment picks up every bit of cat hair (which is a lot as my cat is a longhair). It is very quiet, except when using the turbo brush, if you lift the brush from the floor to reposition then the noise is horrendous, also this brush isn't as good for picking up hair, so I stick to using the normal one. The connection for the tools isn't brilliant either, sometimes when moving the hoover the end attachment just falls off. It is very easy to clean out and put back together.

Overall - Excellent performance
However, connection points need to be improved.

Good suction. Hose fittings are less than adequate, and keep having to re-fix them together.
Nice vacuum but hose attention is needed.

After much deliberation, I chose the Vax Mach Zen Pet as it seemed to tick most if not all the boxes I needed. I have not been disappointed.....with 2 collies leaving their hair everywhere I am very impressed how well the Vax picks it up. We have hard floors throughout with rugs in most rooms and the machine deals with both surfaces very well. the turbo head makes short work of the dog hairs on the rug and thte powerful suction clears all signs of dust and hair.

I would recommend this machine to anyone with a pet - well done Vax (and thank you)

Fantastic hoover. Quiet and powerful. Possibly one of the best on the market at the moment. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Well Done Vax, another superb product.

THE BEST VACUUM CLEANER I HAVE EVER USED. Looks nice too. Excellent, suction and cleaning capabilities. Lovely and quiet, does not wake up sleeping children (or neighbours !!). Only one minor problem is that the accessories if knocked during cleaning fall out of the handle stowage slots. For petite persons, need to remember to open the valve near the handle to reduce the suction, the suction is so strong that a petite person may not be able to push the cleaner head (it literally sticks to the floor.. but cleans extremely well). The turbo brush is brilliant for hairs / fibres. It is a surprisingly heavy cleaner, but I like the suction power. IF I WAS TO BUY AGAIN, I WOULD BUY THIS MODEL AGAIN. DEFINATELY RECOMMEND. REMEMBER, IT MUST BE GOOD - THERE IS A 6 YEAR WARRANTY (our previous one - not a vax broke down after 2 years).

I am delighted with this cleaner, especially the way it deals with cat's hairs.

We got this vax to replace our Henry which, despite numerous recommendations, was a disappointment. The vax lifts so much more dirt out of carpets it's unbelievable. The turbo head is especially effective. It is a relatively quiet machine. Only two downsides. First is the cable could do with being a bit longer. Second is that, whilst the tube/handle is well designed (especially the way it extends), it quite often detached from the hose during use. Maybe some kind of click attachment would solve this! All in all, a great product let down by a couple of irritations.

I am delighted with the new Vax which has replaced a noisy and badly designed Dyson. It seems to be twice as powerful, makes half the noise, is easy to empty and the turbobrush is fantastic. The stowage for the two small tools is poor as they tend to fall out - lots of other people complain about this. I vacuumed one room which had been closed up since before the Dyson failed and the Vax was about one third filled with dust and hair from the carpet that the Dyson had not picked up. The Vax is also well priced and good value for money.

Excellent cleaning results with all cleaning heads and a very quiet machine. one criticism the telescopic tube often pulls out of the handle when hovering.

Very happy with the Vax Mach Zen Pet It is quieter than I thought it would be and does a lovely job without too much effort on my part. I had a Dyson Animal before and the Vax is much better. It would get 5 rating if it had a larger capacity dust holder, it needs emptying more often but other than that super machine.

I have had a lot of problems with vaccuum cleaners in the past, but up to now the C91 Mach Zen Pet has managed to cope with everything that has been thrown at it! Two large very hairy dogs, two cats, and a farmhouse that has mud and wood shavings constantly trampled through onto the carpets has not been a problem for it!! The 6 year guarantee is an added bonus, just in case anything does go wrong.

This replaced my old Dyson and I am very pleased with it. It is surprisingly quiet but still manages to provide a good suction (no more hand picking stubborn fluff etc). The tools are adequate and easily accessible. The only improvement I would like is to be able to reach to the top of the stairs with the hose. I would recommend this vacuum cleaner.

I have been sick to death of purchasing cleaning machines over the past years that fail to live up to their claims for efficiency and reliability and inevitably always break down in some way after insufficient and poor use. I looked at customer reviews first before making my purchase and now have my first vax, I am 100% happy with it, it does the job it is intended for with better results than I could ever have imagined possible. Ease of use and no more hunting for hoover bags that I can never easily get hold of, it's a god send with dog hairs abd dust in awkward places, I can honestly say with the amount of dust it collects that my home has never looked cleaner. I am well impressed and will never buy another brand except vax again.

Having 2 dogs I would highly recommend the Mach Zen Pet, its quiet and has given superb results, thanks for making a chore into a pleasure. Have recommended this Vax to all my friends.

This is fantastic - shows up just how badly my old machine was doing by the time I replaced it!
Impressed by how quiet it is when it's switched on, also by the suction - slightly disgusted by just how much dirt it lifted from my 'clean' floors on the first use, again emphasising how poorly my old machine had been doing the job. Easy to put together and also easy to empty, once you get the hang of it. Only con found so far is that attachments don't clip together but just push together - am already starting to get frustrated by the attachment falling off the extendable hose and think that in the very near future I'll need to try taping it together or something to stop it just falling off if i try to lift the attachment from the floor. Overall, am very pleased with my purchase - just a minor design issue stops it from being full marks all round.

Very happy with the suction and the turbo brush is great on carpets. The only flaw is the storage for the additional tools - it is poorly designed and does not hold both the extra tools. It holds one but the other keeps falling out

My previous cleaner was a dyson, so was a bit wary on buying a vax, but I am very pleased with my vax. It is not as strong as the dyson but has excelent suction, a long enough lead to reach the top of the stairs and the multi floor head is better than the dyson. The only issue with my vax is the multi floor head and animal cleaner was all in one on the dyson, so you don't have to keep changing the heads over,which would be better on this model. Apart from that it is an excelent product.

Hi, the Vax M/C is very quiet, best I have ever not heard! The only 2 small items for improvement is the accsarary Brush head & small pointed nozzle is not up to the same spec as the M/C (cheapish). Also they do fit securely into the M/C handle.

I am delighted with my Vax. I can honestly say it takes half the time with the proper equipment. I have tried Dyson and Electrolux within the last 7 years and with both upright cleaners I found I had to go over and over to pick up bits of fluff so I thought I would go back to a cylinder cleaner. I love my Vax and can't wait to use it every time knowing the results are great and the job is easy.

Very pleased - would thoroughly recommend to people with pets. The cleaner is very good at getting up pet hairs and is also so quiet that our two kittens do not even wake up when it is used whereas with our old vacuum cleaner they would run and hide.

My wife had the use of another type of cleaner, it was no good at all, We sent it back. so I sent for the Vax. Lovely and quiet, light weight, cleans well, empties easily, haven't found any faults at all. Very good!!!!!!

It is an excellent, lightweight machine that really does manage to collect dog hair. The dust container is easy to empty too! It has a much longer electric flex than my other Vax vacuum. This I find handy when vacuuming several rooms one after the other. The tools fit into the hose, but I don't find it particularly easy to put the brush and crevice tool into their slot after use. However, I would still give the vacuum a first class rating

Think it's very good. Easy to empty. Good for pet/girls hair. Light to carry. One little problem - the small attachments keep falling out of their holder so I just keep them in the cupboard

We've had Vax products in the past and have always been pleased with them and this one is no exception, apart from that when hoovering on carpet the brush bar slows down and almost stops. I think the reason for this is the air flow is strong enough to pull the head down to the carpet and thus creating a seal and stopping the air flow which powers the brush bar.

The best hoover I hvae ever had. Powerful suction, stylish and reasonably low noise. Excelent for pet hair. Just a little bit bulky.

Does exactly "what it says on the box". Pulls around nicely when on the floor. Suction is fantastic. Heavier than expected and the handle feels as if it's in the wrong place when carrying - you find yourself trying to grasp a different piece. When you attach the aluminium tube to the plastic hose it would be nice to have a better locking mechanism - the push fit feels flimsy. We really like the wheel underneath - when you rotate it it follows easily. Emptying is easy. It's great for pet fur - an incredible amount came out of our rugs!! Apart from the hose bit as above, feels nice and robust. Not as quiet as I thought it would be. The dog loves it - thinks it's another dog ;0)

Best cleaner I have had to date and is so quiet. Very powerful suction and light to use. Hose has plenty of reach and the tools work very well. Easy to empty and clean. Having two Collie dogs in the home causes plenty of hair and dirt but the Mach Zen Pet deals with it easily on both hard and carpeted floor. Only criticism: Cable will not always fully recoil first time.

Nice and quiet, great suction, extension pipe where the end of the hose fits in could be better made, IE. by clipping in to the extension pipe, as with the brush. The end of the suction pipe should be made of metal and not plastic.

For past ten years i have always trusted another leading hover brand, due to the brand I normally buy being out of stock, I thought I would give Vax a chance again, (was a bit dissapointed a good few years ago, with one of their very old hovers).

Couldn't believe how good this hover is, and the amount of dirt this picked up, even after I had hovered with the leading brand I use to always use.(and the other make hover I used,was band new, which I then did take back for refund)
Anyone in two minds about this Hover, really should give it a go. All parts can be replace, cheaply should anything break, and there is a very long 6 years guarantee.

The noise the hover makes is so quite too. My teenager son, even enjoys cleaning his room with it, as he amazed at how much dirt is lifted. Bad ponits about the hover. My cat is frighten of it, and hides, my dog loves to chase it around the room.

It is the best cleaner we have had for years picks up nearly every thing the only gripe or dislike with the unit is the attachements keep dropping out of the handle, could do a lot better at this point.

Excellent cleaning power, very quiet. Far better than the Dyson we replaced. Only one criticism, my wife can't get the tools onto the extension tube so they are firm enough to use, and when I have put them on for her she can't get them off

I find this vacumn cleaner a treat.Best thing about it is you dont get a headache, as the noise level is very low.It picks up the cat hairs in no time. Very easy and simple to clean.I would tell anyone with pets to buy this direct from vax, as you also get a free handheld cordless vacumn cleaner as well for "free".you wont go wrong with this model.You wont be dissapointed.

Overall this is a superb hoover. I have been a die-hard Dyson fan for the past 10 years, but the suction power of this VAX is far superior to the Dyson.

However, the feel of the build quality and materials falls short of that of the dyson - it just doesn't feel as well put together and as robust. The dyson feels like a more expensive vacuum (and of course it is!). But I can overlook all of this to have a cleaner that actually picks up the dog hairs!

My ONLY complaint is that the position of the handles to the front and rear of the main unit body is useless. I want a handle in the middle, so that I can pick it up with one hand and it's perfectly balanced and weighted - especially when I'm cleaning the stairs. But this is impossible to hold because whichever handle you use, the body either tips right back or right forward and is completly unbalanced.

This isn't enough to taint my overall experience of the cleaner, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Excellent cleaning results with both the normal cleaning head and the tubo head. Easy to empty the dust container. My only critisism would be is that the hose attachment needs to be more secure, as it easily detaches from the grey main hose whilst using. Also cleaning the stairs is a bit of a mission becuase the main unit is quite heavy to lug up and down the stairs. Having said that I think this is the best perfoming cleaner I have purchsed ( in the last 10 years I have had 4 from the cheapest Tesco own brand to the most expensive Orek) Highly recommended.

Excellent product, very light and extremely powerful. Good results on carpet and laminate.

Incredible suction power that produces dust that you didn't know you had! Ideal if you have pets as it makes short work of dog fur and leaves your car very clean, dare I say almost as good as the day you picked it up. The generous toolset supplied - which can make all the difference when choosing the right model for you - means that you can reach every nook and cranny and the unit is very easy to manoeuvre. Very quick method of releasing household dust collected is very helpful. You will need to adjust the suction power on certain jobs (freestanding mats and rugs etc). Have yet to find the best solution for the stairs but the power cord is long enough to switch to different plugs. Much quieter than a conventional vacuum cleaner but the variable suction action can be clearly heard although it can be annoying when slowing down for no apparent reason. The standard brush head has worked its way loose on the end of the excellent telescopic extension pipe on a couple of occasions but, overall, it seems a first class product and, hopefully, destined for very long service.

I have found it great good suction on both hardwood floors and carpet, for hard wood floors it's suction is great right upto the edge, then with the turbo attachment the suction on carpets is excellent the best vacuum for Carpets and hardwood floors combined so far I have found nothing that could be improved if I was to be picky I would say when emptying it does not fit my bin ( but that would be really picky) excellent machine would reccomend it to anyone. well done vax, your products have improved so much. it was reading reviews on line that gave me the courage to buy this vax, I am glad I did. WELL DONE

Very much in line with the dyson but slightly more powerful. Only thing I have to say is that there should be a clip connection on the handle to connect the pipe as it feels that when hoovering it comes loose and I have to keep pushing it in but other than that ...... lovely cleaner.

Very, very quiet vacuum cleaner, surprisingly powerful and very well made. However, it is let down by rather flimsy and cheaply made tools and nozzle/hose. Despite this, I would recommend.

Glad I chose this vacuum cleaner as my carpets look like new, I hadn't realised they were so dirty! Love the fact that it's so quiet & I can vacuum the stairs without changing sockets.

This machine is extremely good at picking up dog hair , makes the carpet look alot clearner. The reduction in the dust about too is helping my asthma. Its easy to use and is very light and quiet, even the dog is not too bothered about the hoover ( makes a change!)It makes house cleaning alittle more enjoyable .We are very pleased with the vax , glad i went for this brand .

What a perfect vacuum, I was used to using the upright dyson cleaners but when my last one broke a family member recommended the Vax C91-MZ range to me. I actually prefer the cylinder type now to the upright version. The vacuum is very quiet, and very powerful, I would definately recommend to others. A1.

Firstly like to say that the sales and customer services do a fantastic job in dealing with my purchase. As for the product:

Positives:

Cleans and does the job very well.
Quiet running but not as quiet as I thought.
The main body feels robust.
Great Telescopic extension as adjusts to the persons height.

Negatives:

Cleaning/emptying the rubbish is alittle messy, you need to stick your fingers in and pull out the fluff balls.
Could do with a varible suction power as found difficult to do very light rug.
Takes up alot of floor space on both sides, the hose on one side and the foot on the other.
The tools ie foot, brush, 2-in-1 tool and crevice tool don't feel as if they are made from cheap materials and already have marks as used only a few times.
Crevice tool is quite small in lenth could be alittle longer (50% longer).
The tools storage on the hose feel if they are in the way.
The way the tools push onto the hose, not sure a few years down the road they will not hold on firmly and keep falling off, without having them fixed in place you can end you with the foot facing one way and the handle another.

The Mach Zen is fantastic, it's very quiet yet very powerful. It gave my carpet a total clean. I made the right choice, thank you.

Excellent machine - love that it is so quiet. Upholstery brush excellent for picking up all our white cat's hairs! Great for hard floor surfaces too. Overall very impressed.

I just love this little cleaner. It is so quiet, yet powerful - I have a hairy German Shepherd, who likes to throw off huge CHUNKS of hair, to clean up after, as well as a less hairy/messy Jack Russell, so it is VERY well tested.

Small enough to store away easily, light and easy to manouevre, effective 'pick up' of pet hairs and anything else in my house I think it's my best Vax ever (I've had 3 different models before and been happy with each)- what more can I say?

very good hoover, nice and quiet, picks up dogs hairs with ease, easy to carry around and empty with a good length power cord. O<b></b>nly a couple of niggles: the bagless tank doesnt seal very well and the plastic catch looks very easy to break,also it could have done with a built in scent capsule holder.

Suction is good, its easy to empty and easy to use. The heads were not very easy to change they are a bit stiff. All around though i would say it is a good hoover and would recommend it to anyone. I brought a Vax because i had heard from family that Vax is a good make.

Extremly powerful and picks up mess and dust easily. Is slighly on the heavy side and awkward to handle. Overall an excellent machine!

Much quieter and has better suction than the Dyson DC-08 that it replaced. Very pleased so far and peace of mind with the 6 year warranty. Would prefer a snap fit wand rather than push fit, but this is a minor issue.

Have only used it a couple of times so far, but am happy with it. It appears to be easy to use, if slightly on the heavy side, and has taken our two cats', one long coated german shepherd's, and one long haired daughter's moultings effortlessly! I'm already prefering it to the Dyson I owned previously. (It will be getting much more thorough workouts when my broken foot's recovered, which may also account for why I'm finding it heavy - this sentence isn't part of my review, just an explanation!)

Really, really pleased with my new Vax! It picks up everything and I love the edge to edge cleaning which makes life so much easier. The turbo attachment really makes a difference as one of my dogs sheds hair like mad and it certainly copes with it. Very quiet too, most impressive. Easy to move about too.

Could do with a longer hose and small turbo head for doing the stairs also not as quiet as Vax claim. Overall it is a very good cleaner.

Also it is quiet, so doesn't interfere with the footy!!!!!!!!!!!

A bit awkward in it's mechanism for emptying, but will get to grips with that.

Very pleased with the machine so far. It is quiet, has good suction and "doe's what it says on the tin". The hose length and cord length are excelent making stair cleaning a breeze. Also a good sized dust collector means less trips out to the bin.
It is a little noisier with the turbo head fitted but then you would expect that.
To me the large wheels could turn a bit easier but my wife seams to think it's not a problem.

Excellent machine. Vacuums up just about everything as it is very powerful. Dust compartment is not as easy to empty as some. We have a slimline pedal bin and it's too wide for that so have to empty into plastic bag. The fact that it doesn't detach completely makes it a little harder. Apart from that I would thorough recommend this vacumm. It's really quiet, is a joy to use and does an excellent job.

I think your claim that this machine is 70% quieter than a conventional cylinder is overstated, not as quiet as I expected and hoped. However, that is relatively unimportant. What matters is that the suction power is fantastic, much better than my previous up market machine. My carpets have never been so clean. The cord length is very good and the fact that it retracts is excellent. The vax is so easy to assemble and put away.

An excellent cleaner with a turbo head which really reaches into the pile of a carpet. On the downside, the handle is further back than it ought to be which makes carriage awkward and the hose when stowed takes up a great amount of space.

Fantastic vacuum. Quite with powerful suction. A bit expensive, but well worth the money. So far the best vacuum I have ever owned.

This is the first cylinder vacuum I have been happy with. Previously I have always used a Dyson upright as they are very powerful and I have 2 dogs! However, this vacuum is excellent at picking up pet hair. It is easily stored too. I am now a convert.

The Vax is very efficient. It is quieter than most machines but once you use the pet hair remover attachment it is just as noisy as any other machine. I find the connection from the hose to the other tools feels a bit flimsy but that is my opinion.

The bagless system is very easy to empty.

I am very pleased with my Mach Zen 2 machine. It has brought new life to my carpets and leaves my rooms feeling very fresh and neat.As I have a cat with white fur I can really see the difference.It is very light to take up and down the stairs. The Turbo head really works Yes the machine is really quiet and this is ejoyed by both me and my neighbours .I have used a vax machine for 20 years as I have confidence in your products. THIS IS THE BEST VACCUM I HAVE EVER USED.

It's brilliant, easier and more powerful than my cylinder Dyson. Easier to empty too. The only thing I would want better is a small head for cleaning the stairs the one that comes with it is awkward to use.

Bought the vax out of desperation - my electrolux(bagless)wasn't picking up the cat fur from the carpets or upholstery.
The vax and turbo-brush are brilliant, and at half the noise-level of the electrolux.
It is light, manoeuvrable, and quick and easy to empty (emptying my electrolux was always a tedious and messy business).
I'd recommend the vax pet to anyone - especially as it's so reasonably priced.

This is is a really effective vacuum cleaner. It it is powerful, easy to use and store away and easy to empty too. We had upright cleaners before this but this machine cleans better without those noisey beating brushes.

brilliant being a dog owner i found the vax great at picking up pet hairs that my previous vacuam wouldnt touch my carpets look like new again.

I have two dogs and it cleans their hair up no problem!
