Hard Floor Master S2

I have two siberian huskies who can make quite a mess of my kitchen floor!! hence the purchase of this item...Ordinary mops really only push the dirt about and i never felt the place was clean...the steam mop is superb for streak free floors and im using it on all the floors...delighted with the results....only criticism i have is the colour of the cloths used...white is a dead loss. after one use they turn grey and look dirty...apart from that....great item

After assembly found the unit very easy to use and does an excellent job of cleaning the floor ,also seems to be economical with the tank of water

The hard floor cleaner is good. However the cable is too short and you have to keep changing the electric socket, and i live in a two bedrom property.

light easy to use ,does a good job , leaves floor a bit wet so cant walk on it for a while , but you do feel its given it a good clean I did not buy it for everyday use ,I wanted it to give the floor a good clean once a month in between moping , new cleaning heads are a bit more money than I thought , but hopefully they will last a while

I love this floor master It is a wiz and has really helped me I have Amtico flooring that needs regular cleaning If you were to improve anything I would like a longer lead as I have open plan living which is large and an on/off switch on the machine rather than just having to use the plug.
The heat up time is very fast quicker than a minute I would say and this is a valuable adition to home cleaning would reccommend to anyone I have not experianced any machanical issues and am more than pleased with the performance and finish on the floors thank you for a great product.

We could not bemore pleased with it.

Excellent cleaning capabilities, have used for a few weeks and results much better than expected. Quality of machine is good however am rather disappointed that the cable retaining clip has become broken. This was caused by the internal spring,which is installed to allow it to be adjustable, has forced the screw out of the plastic retainer, stripping the thread, the spring is too powerful for the thread chosen. Other than that, would recommend this steam cleaner for it's cleaning capabilities.

The cleaner is very easy to use and provides outstanding results. The fabric head shows the amount of dirt the cleaner is removing. We washed the head as directed, washing did not remove all the dirt from the fabric head, this did not effect the cleaning when used again.
We would certainly recommend this cleaner for hard floors as it eliminates the drying time when using a mop.

Nice sturdy design. You only need tap water which I think is a bonus. Filters last a reasonable amount of time. Amount of steam produced is disappointing and the cloths supplied become saturated too quickly. I had expected better from Vax.

We brought the steamer for the floors and what can we say , really works well and so easy to use , would recommend everyone to buy one of your steamers .

Only used it once but was impressive. I liked how it heated up very quickly and also that it managed to get into all the corners.

The only negative is getting the cover to stay secure whilst using. The overlap needs to have more depth so when the drawstring is tightentened it would become more secure.

As I get older I find it more difficult to get down to scrub my floor tiles and as I have a large area of tiled flooring plus a rather smelly labrador when I saw the Vax Hard Floor Master Steam mop advertised I decided to buy one. I have used it in my utility room, kitchen,cloakroom and bathroom and am very pleased with the results - not only is it very light weight and easy to use (and store) - it gets right up to the edge of the tiles and my floors dry much faster !!

So all in all I am very happy with my purchase !!

Easy to use. Very effective. It would be nice if there were more than two pads with the cleaner, but they can go in the washing machine and come out clean. I wasn't able to order extra pads off the vax web site, so ordered from Amazon.

I bought the S2 hard floor master after my daughter who bought and used one,highly recommended it for cleaning laminated foors. After using it on my hall and lounge dining floors I was amazed the amount of dirt it picked up from the floors and left them looking sparkly clean without streaks.I have also used it on the kitchen floor tiles which left them clean and grease free. Although it is easy to push on the carpet glide attachment, which I have tried, I found it required a little more effort to use it on the hard floors especially when pushing forward. All in all great value for the money and it does the job.

No need for chemicals. A good and easy way of cleaning tilled floors, having a dog this is a great bonus

The cleaner is lightweight, so easy to carry upstairs and I can do all my floors on one tank of water which is simplicity itself to fill.

I've really loved using this machine, I've nerve damage in my back and find washing floors quite difficult but using the Vac steamer is so much easier. My floors are cleaner streak free and seem to stay clean longer. I would definatly recommend this machine to anyone with hardwood,laminate or ceramic floors.

Brilliant - so quick and easy to use and you can see the difference it makes, especially on a tiled kitchen floor.
The only downside is having to wash the microfibre pads - disposable ones would be excellent if they could be provided.

The S2 Hard Floor Mop does a fantastic job on the bathroom tiled floor and the kitchen tiled floor really pleased with the product so far

i am very pleased with the performance of the steam cleaner, from a disabled persons point of view it is very easy to fill with water and very quick to heat, it is heavier to push than i realised but not too much that i cant handle.

Light weight, quick and easy to use. Water container can be difficult to remove and microfibre cloth is a definate "knack" to get on and is easier if you have a flat table top or breakfast bar surface to lay it on.
Good cleaning action on tiles and laminate. On carpets it only removes any top dirt, has no effect on carpet pile.
Bought on sale and is good value.

I am very pleased with this Vax product - simple to use and very efficient on hard floors and the carpet refresh option is a boon - it removed some light staining on a cream carpet.

We have three dogs and our kitchen tiles get dirty very quickly - the S2 cleans the floor really well in a fraction of the time that cleaning on hands and knees would take! This is a great little cleaner at a good price.

Great mop. Does a great job on my laminate flooring and the floor is dry within seconds. Found that it does not leave any streaks like my old steam mop did. Great piece of equipment.

Bought 2 of these machines one for me and one for a friend we think they are fantastic, really clean your floor and no bending down or getting on your knees. The triangle shape allows you to get into corners and the swivel head is a boon would buy again.

Fantastic on Tile and laminate floors hard going on all other floors sticks and you realy have to pull hard along, good job only small bathroom to do in vynall hard work. where do i buy new pad from.

A very useful machine. I have a quite a large tiled kitchen floor and conservatory and it cleans these very well. If you wet the cleaning pad before you put it on in seems to stay on better. I like the fact that I don't have to spend a fortune on floor cleaning liquids. The bucket and mop (unhygenic)have been disposed of!

Suitable for laminate, however the cloth falls off no-matter how hard you tie the cord. a waste of time on carpetted floors.

The product is simple to use, which is always a positive comment to make. It was also a good cleaning experience, rather than the usual chore. The finish was impressive, taking the hard work out of another wise boring and laborious task.

I am delighted with my S2 and the finish on my tiled and laminate floors. I would very much like a handheld version for use on kitchen and bathroom tiles. Do Vax manufacture such a product? I have recommended the S2 to local friends.

I have had several steam cleaners but have to say this is the best one I have used so far, one of things I like about it is you control the amount of steam unlike other makes, its sturdy and flexible all at the same time allowing you to get into corners etc and so quick to setup.

This product suits my needs as we have hard flooring of all descriptions in our home. It is hygenic and reduces the amount of chemicals needed for cleaning. This has two main benefit. The first being the reduction in cost and spend on houshold cleaning material and secondly it is more environmentally friendly. We purchased from Comet as there was a great offer on where we purchased the product for half price

have had loads of hard wood floor steam cleaners in the past all felt a little delicate, but this vax i have just bought feels realy well made and i have been using it every day, to clean the floors and also freshen up the rugs, its that fantastic the daughter has borrowed it and still not returned it. i have recomended it to all my friend who have wood or tile floors, as my black tile floors look amazing now no smears. thank you

Handy and lightweight for my small kitchen, and freshens fitted woolen carpets with ease. I realise it doesn't do the same jobs as the big steam cleaners do, but it fits the purpose for which it is intended, and with the minimum of fuss. Excellent product.

I THINK THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I HAVE A LARGE TILED KITCHEN FLOOR WHEN USING A MOP AND BUCKET I NOTICED THE GRAIN ON THE TILES NOT SO CLEAN AND ALWAYS TOOK AGES TO DRY. I HAVE USED MY FLOOR MASTER 5 TIMES NOW AND THE TILES ARE MUCH CLEANER AND DRY QUICK.I KNOW THIS IS A PRODUCT THAT WILL NOT JUST BE LEFT IN A CUPBOARD BECAUSE IT WORKS.

Easy to assemble and light to use, water tank lasts for quite a while. Only down point is,lead could be longer.

I purchased the Vax on maker reputation and have not been disappointed overall. I do find that on vinyl floor surfaces the machine is a little bit awkward to manage and turn. However this said to date I am happy with Vax.

I have found the S2 Hard Floor Master very easy to use, very light and makes a marvellous job of my solid oak flooring.
It is very easy to use and easy to pack away.

only had the chance to use once but it performs very well only problem i would say at this time is it can not get into 90 degree corners which still have to be done manually.

Ifound this product to be of good value as i purchased in on sale ,after using it Iwas pleased with the result as it brought up the shine on laminate and vinyl on my floors the only down side of the product to date is trying to get the cloths to stay on the machine Ithink Ihave mastered it now with the help of my husband !!as Iam a pensioner Ifind it makes floor washing easier ,i am now going to purchase extra cloths as it comes with 2 i think another few would be better .

It is simple to use and quite efficient. My only problem would be the cloths that come off too easily if not pulled extremely tightly.

If you use steamer for longer than 10 minutes it leaves a very wet floor, cleaned kitchen tiled floor then a tiled bathroom. By the time I got to 3rd room cleaning pad too wet and left smears on floor. Had to use a towel to dry tiles.

Simple to use but very effective will recommend to friends.

Since purchasing this item, we have used it and have been very happy with the reults. The carpets were dry very quickly and all the stains were fetched out. We used it on my parents carpets where they had a stain that had been there for a long time and the results were amazing.Very, very pleased.

Really pleased with this product. So easy to clean tiled floors, with very little effort. Really can notice the difference, and no cleaning products to buy either. Tiles have been brought back to original look, after all the build up of cleaning products have now been removed.
The only critism I have is that the microfibre cleaning head could be stronger material, therefore would last longer. Will not be going back to mop and bucket again.

not bad cleans well.....only problem is the cleaning cloth's/pads come off frequently when pushing forward, even when tied tight. but other than that it works well..

Read other reviews (other users had said pad sometimes comes off - not experienced this problem myself) and decided to buy.

I have two large dogs, who come in and out all day. Therefore the kitchen floor (tiles) gets very muddy and ground in. Only used the Floor Master once so far but very pleased with the result. Very easy to put together, very easy to use - perhaps quicker than a mop. Result are much better than a mop with less effort.

While the machine apears to be well made and works well we are dissappointed with the very short steam cycle and if you are not very carefull the machie leaves the floor quite wet.

Love it, could do with a longer lead, but it works brilliantly!

used this cleaner on both my hard wood floors and on vinyl floors it is good but leaves them a bit wetter than i expected but still a lot dryer than a mop and bucket would overall i am happy with this cleaner

Wow I bought two Vax S2 Hard Floor Cleaners.One for my use and one as a gift for a family member.I am really really impressed it just glides over the floor so easily and it gets into all the difficult places and corners so easily due to its design.Its so easy to fill with water and it leaves the floor so clean and hygienic and hardly wet at all.All this is achieved by steam only there are no additional costs for detergents etc.Highly recommended.

I am quite satisfied with my hard floor cleaner and use it also on carpets. My husband is disabled and now uses "walkers" to get around so if one as been used outside it obviously marks the floors but with this cleaner I find it easier to keep floors clean. The only adverse comment I would make is I think a slightly longer lead would help.

HI I AM REALLY PLEASED WITH HARD FLOOR MASTER THE ONLY DOWNSIDE I FIND IS IT IS DIFFICULT TO TAKE OFF WATER TANK I HAVE TO USE A KNIFE TO EASE IT UP OTHERWISE VERY EASY TO OPERATE

I put off using as I am always nervous of new gadgets,today I used it,I cannot tell you how great it was,getting into corners was so easy.
It has made my life so much easier,no dread of on my knees cleaning any more.

How long to the cleaning cloths last ?

It appears to clean our ceramic tile floors adequately, it is a pity you can't use something like "linen water" to give a nice fragrence.

A very good buy! It does what it says on the tin! Only drawback, I find it a little difficult sometimes to slide the water container off.

Really happy with the purchase. A house with 2 Labradors can have quite dirty floors so this is a god-send. Only negatives, the mop heads can slip off quite easily, no matter how much I tighten them. And if it could take slightly more water would be better.
No other issues.

Easy to build and use. Cleans floors with ease. Wish that I didn't have to keep waiting for the green light to come on before I press the trigger to release the steam as this delays the cleaning time. It would be even better if once the trigger was kept pressed that the machine would release a constant stream of steam.

So far the results are very good, I have 3 cats and a white utility floor! The mobile head is good for getting into corners. It is also fine on my wooden kitchen floor.
BUT,yes there is a but,the cloth is fiddly to fit and tends to be pulled off on the right hand side. My previous steamer was not so sturdy but had a velcro fitted cloth which was excellent.

Find the mop excellent. The microcovers are much too small and keep coming off so made my own about 2 inches bigger all around out of an old cotton towel. Find this much better.

good product for price.four dogs in my house.one tank cleans my ceramic tiles drys very quick.lifts the pile on carpet.do not leave on varnished parquet it left a scorched mark! the cover needs to be very tight as it will slip off the hard floor master does what it says on the box

The S2 does a brilliant cleaning job on my lino kitchen floor with the minimum of physical effort.
My purchase of the S2 has certainly put a smile on my wife's face who is finding it a godsend.

This product does what it promises. It is so much quicker and easier than a mop and bucket and leaves the floor much dryer. The only problem is getting the cover tight enough to stop it coming off in use.

This is my first steam mop, with an eight week old puppy I use it most days,there are not the risks of using strong disinfectants and the floors are really clean, thankyou Vax

I purchased this from my local Argos, was not sure of what it actually contains.
I have used this on my Karndean Floors and it performs really well.
I have freshened up my carpets in the home and once again it performs really well.
It was easy to essembe and use.

I am concerned its longevity but we will see the body is well made I am not sure of the scale that may build up .But over the moon. Steve

Brilliant,leaves all the floors looking refreshed,clean and shiny,I will definatly recomend and certainly buy another,i will never use a mop and bucket again.

Works well in removing the dirt but the cloth has a tendency to come off when used on my cushionnaire floor. I have to use the carpet glider with it. Works well on my ceramic tile floor.

Heats up quickly but leaves floors wet

because i have arthritis of the hand my husband has fitted a suction hook to the water tank for easier removal otherwise satisfactory

love the S2 and it's cleaning capabilities, I only have two issues; 1- it is too stiff to push at times and
2- the cloth attachment comes off too many times whilst cleaning even though I've pulled the drawstring as tight as it could go
other than that it does what it's meant to do and keep my kitchen and bathroom floors clean

This is a brilliant machine pity it only comes with two floor cleaners as by the time I finished cleaning they were filthy you should supply 3 maybe

We are very pleased with the results we have obtained with the Hard Floor Master and it was easy to get used to the method of cleaning all our floors. There is only one area of "disappointment" in the construction of the cover for the head, it seemed far to "minimal" in the material used ie. the Mop material should have been thicker, the wrap over edge should have been deeper allowing the draw string to pull tighter ove the steam head and would not allow it to slide off so much. Please do remember that many of your customers are going to be elderly with not so good grip to tighten the Head successfuly. Otherwise First class Product. Les Warren

Really pleased with performance so far. Definitely need to have more pads for it - 2 not enough. Very easy to operate. Tried it on wooden and tiled floors - need to watch that you don't go over the same spot repeatedly as floor gets very wet if you do.

Only drawback is the length of flex - have to move from socket to socket as you go.

All in all pleased that I don't have to go down on hands and knees to clean floors anymore!

Pleased with the performance so far. The first machine I bought suddenly stopped working but it was replaced by VAX and fingers crossed I won't have any problems witht the new one. I also bought one for my mum and also one for my daughter, they have had no problems and are very happy with their machines.

This is a very good appliance to have. I have a dog and the steamer cleans the floor perfectly, a mop was never efficient enough.
The only criticism I have, is that the fabric cover is difficult to put on at first, as the head moves around.

Absolutely fantastic product - would recommend it to everyone.

it does the job I brought it for and I am pleased with the outcome

My wooden floors came up a treat. My Vax product was easy to assemble and to use. The detachable microfibre pad removed loads of dirt! I found it more effective to handwash at 60C since my wahing machine didn't clean it so well at the suggested lower temperature. It is really handy to have the spare cleaning pad, since you have to allow it to dry for 24 hours after washing.

This is an excellent product. It is easy to use and does exactly what it promises. Great value for money and I would recommend for anybody to purchase one.

Works fine, the only issue that my wife has raised is the mop too easily becomes detached.

Very pleased, so much easier than getting on your hands and knees!! It brought our tiles up as though they were new.

I find it slightly hard to glide the Floor Master across my lino kitchen floor. I do like the use as it helps get dirt off, but I find I prefer to mop the floor after so there is no bits and has a better clean/ after look. Many Thanks.

I have brought a few hard floor steam cleaners in the past, and found them to be a waste of money, they did not clean the floors very well and they were very hard to push around. The Vax S2 Hard floor steam cleaner is excellent machine, it light in weight, easy to push and pull around and excellent results every time.

Have used the cleaner twice on tiled floor, but both times found that it left behind a very wet floor which then has to be left to dry for at least half an hour before walking on the tiles as it is very slippery and risk injury.

Very pleased with this product, It has given me peace of mind when I steam my wooden and tiled floors before my 3 crawling grandchildren arrive, easy to use, quick to dry and pop cloth in the washing machine, dont know why I didnt have one years ago, better than spreading dirty mop water over the floors.

We all tried the first steamers to come out they were going to change how we cleaned well like most mine ended up at the tip! I have arthritus and I find trying to get the tank off not easy at all, I realise you have grips at each side but these are useless to arthritic people or I would imagine the disabled. I rate this product 4.5 out of 5. Less than a 5 due to the grips. A really great product.

Hi, I am pleased with the floor master, however, I would have a couple of comments.

1. Supplying only two cloths is not enough, in order to clean my floors I use two cloths just to do downstairs and then need to wait, wash and dry them before I can do upstairs.

2. The cloths have a tendency to come off the machine, from time to time while you are using it.

It does however clean my floors and I feel great about the fact that I do not have to use chemicals.

The S2 Hard floor master does an excellent job and I am really pleased with it. I use it for both my floors and carpets and it gives great results.Really happy I bought it. And with a 2 year guarantee you get peace of mind.

It does the job but I was disappointed that you have to keepp waiting for it to heat up not the impression I had of it from the literature thought it would just glide over floor

After using it on three occasions we have found it to be hugely successful on hardwearing surfaces, we also used it to clean our laminate flooring although we took the precaution of drying it off straight away in case of over-wetting, the results are really satisfying, leaving a lovely clean floor.

We bought this product in order to clean all of our carpets.After one application we couls see a marked improvement.After the second application they now look like new.Should have bought one years ago.

i really think its superb especially as i have a bad back my tiles are like new, just wish i had purchased one a long time ago. But also now i found how good these things are i wish i had bought one that does more than floor,

Purchased this product after conducting a fair amount of research on line, looking at reviews and feedback etc. It was easy to assemble and is fairly lightweight to move around. Simple to fill with water and easy to operate. Decent length of flex too. I've used it once so far on some textured vinyl flooring in an entrance lobby and WC area, plain vinyl flooring in a bathroom and on very light coloured kitchen floor tiles. I was very impressed with how well the steam mop cleaned the textured vinyl in the lobby area particularly as the dirt had seemed to be quite ingrained - or should I say proved almost impossible to remove with a Vileda type hand mop! The ordinary vinyl came up very well too as did the kitchen floor tiles.

I was particularly concerned about how well the steam mop would perform on the kitchen floor tiles as previously I have had to get down on my hands and knees to scrub them if I wanted a good job done. Well, I am very pleased to report that the steam mop worked wonderfully and did a marvellous job at lifting both spill marks and general grime caused by people, dogs and cats! It took more effort on my part than that needed with the vinyl flooring as it was necessary to go over the area several times until I was satisfied but SO much easier and quicker than scrubbing each tile by hand.

The steam mop was quiet in operation and heated up quickly in between each burst of use. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend the VAX S2 Hard Floor Master to others.

Put this together in minutes and used it straight away. It was really easy to use ,lightweight, easy to move around and gets into the corners and under units. Left the floor almost dry and very clean. Actually went looking for more places clean. Very pleased with this purchase

Great product. Cannot fault it at all. My hard floors are clean and gleaming. As a pet owner as well as wanting clean floors I want my floors to be hygenically clean not something you get with a traditional mop and bucket. would reccomend and good value for monry.

I have only used the cleaner once (the wife has used it several times)and I found it simple to use, all on my own too, without any wifely supervision!.

2nd Steam mop have bought from Vax. Only negative you need to hold in the button constantly to create steam.

Great product for cleaning hard floors - lino, tiles and laminate. Really easy to use and heats up quickly.
Also good for carpets - doesn't always remove stains first time but really fresehens up the carpets and for stubborn stains, works after a few attempts.
I would recommend this product - great value for money and makes cleaning really easy.

We are very pleased with the performance of the unit and the results it achieves.
Two issues I would like advice on.

When the green light comes on the unit is ready..but the green light goes out quite quickly after you start cleaning...do you have to stop and wait for the green light to come on again..this can slow the cleaning process quite a lot.

It can be quite tight to fit the detachable cover and you have to be very careful to avoid the cover coming off when in use. Could this be made a little larger so that it would be more secure.

I found the s2 hard floor master ideal for what i was lookin for it was a little over priced but i bought from catalogue also left my kitchen tiles quite wet but after i washed the pad it was better.

This steam cleaner eliminates the need for a mop and bucket, it's easy to use compact and saves a lot of time and energy.

Not sure why I didn't buy a steam cleaner before! I have been delighted with my new Vax S2 Hard Floor Master. My kitchen floor has never looked so good with just an ordinary mopping. Using the Vax makes it look so much cleaner and brighter. A couple of years ago we replaced the carpet in our en-suite with resin tiles. Mopping never seemed to get them looking clean, so I had to resort to scrubbing them on my knees !!!!! No longer......the Vax does a brilliant job. The only problem is the pads supplied; totally useless as they come off every couple of minutes, no amount of tightening makes any difference. Fortunately before I purchased I read reviews that stated this and recommended an alternative make of pads. I bought the alternatives which do stay on plus they are slightly thicker and seem to improve the quality of the cleaning. If the pads supplied with the Vax were as good as the alternatives I would give this a product rating of 5; however as they do let the product down thus affecting the performance, I feel that I can only give it 4.

I am really pleased with my S2 Hard Floor Master. Have used it on my kitchen/bathroom floors as well as living room carpet & have been very surprised with ease of use & result. Am still mastering the art of pulling it slowly over hard floors, do find that even pulled as tight as possible, the cover does slip a bit. However this doesn't impede on cleaning the floors. I also would be happier if the frame for carpets was a tighter fit. The cloths wash up well too. I love this floor cleaner & would highly recommend!

I love this machine and should have bought one ages ago. It is so quick and easy to set up and use and the floor dries in no time. The floor now gets cleaned far more frequently than ever before. The only things I would say are that it is essential to have lots of replacement covers and I wish that the blue "fingered" microfibre one came with it as it is a must have for tiled floors. Also the cord winder is on the wromg side for me and I am right handed, it always feels awkward when putting it away - probably just me and being used to my vacuum which winds that way. Brilliant machine.

A lightweight and easy to use machine.My only comment is that it doesn't leave the tiled floors as dry as I hoped.I haven't tried it on carpets yet but will in the near future.It performs very well on tiles.

Really easy to use and put together although the pad's sometimes come off when gliding on floor surfaces even when tight on but this is not often ready very quickly so can use instantly very good

Love my S2 Hard Floor Master. Have only used it once so far, only problem I find is that it leaves the floor really wet. It can be a bit of a pain having to hold down the switch constantly to get steam. On the plus points really does clean the floors and doesn't leave streak marks

Works well cleams floor and carpet well. i have 2 gripes lead could be longer and the microfibre cloths could fit better.

lovely machine it does a nice job with no smears left, the only problem I have found is the electric cable is not long enough for me but I would recemend it to a friend.

Very good product, but having arthritis in the hand, keeping the switch down all the time makes the hand ache by the time you have finished cleaning the floor. The mop head also gets quite wet which takes the floor longer to dry. I find that stopping half way through and wringing it out helps. Otherwise a good buy on my part.

Fantastic product, wish i had bought one years ago! A job that used to take me an hour to do now gets done within 10 mins. It doesnt make any mess, when using a mop the water used to go everywhere and the floor dries much quicker. I used to get bad backache when using a mop but now i dont have to bend and put so much effort into cleaning the floors. Its incredibly quick to get going and very easy to use. I have recommended it to everyone! The one and only downside that i can find so far is that the power lead is a little too short. Apart from this, this is the best electrical product i have bought in years!!!

Very good no problems

The floor master is great at getting the wooden floors clean and picking up pet hairs. If I had a complaint the lead could do with being a bit longer as I have wooden flooring all downstairs and keep having to swap plugs but other than that I would recommend it.

This product does a very good job cleaning hard floors and tiling. Can be a bit hard to get going but once you get the hang of it works well. Very good on mats and small area of carpeting. The cleaning pads have to be put on tightly otherwise they fall off and can get dirty quickly so on a large area I would advise changing them. All in all a good product which gives a good finish to flooring and dries quickly.

Really like this item the only gripe would be that the cloth comes off the appliance when cleaning

I am very pleased with my S2 Hard Flore Master cleaner and have used it many times since receiving it. It does the job very well indeed and i wished that i had one much sooner. I would recommend it to any one who asked.

Its not as good as I would have wished on carpets but is good on hard flooring. Could do with more cloths on the initial buy as I;ve had to purchase more.

Brilliant, had a steam cleaner before with a square mop head, it was good but this one is far better, really easy to move around and reaches into the smaller corners. Not saying I enjoy cleaning any more than I did before but, this Vax makes it easier. Thanks!

The Vax S2 is very good at cleaning hard floors and carpets, the only problems are the cable is too short (needs to be at least twice as long), there needs to be a bigger lip to fix the pads on so they don't fall off so easily to start with, and some way of holding the carpet glide attachment on permanently.

We have found the floor master to be very effective in removing long standing trodden in grime on the hard floor in the kitchen. Just washing over with a mop didn't make shift the grime but the steam cleaner has done the job.

I think this floor/carpet steamer is great it is easy to use light weight and brought the pile on my carpets up to look like new not to mention how good it was to use on my wooden floors. Glad I bought this its excellent.I would have however liked the pads to have been a little thicker on the base they get so wet so quickly and that thins them downa little.

I found the machine easy to use. The swivel head was particularly useful for negotiating objects. Did what it was supposed to do so I have no complaints.

WONDERFUL, it takes all the hard work out of mopping a floor, it's so easy to use, the only thing is at I am 4' 11" tall and would have like it if the handle could have been ajustable to suit my height, but other then that I wouldn't change it. AAA Rating

I found the steamer very good on tiled floors.Not to bad on carpets but too wet for laminated wood.

Compact but sturdy machine that works wonders on tile and vinyl. My kitchen and bathroom floor are clean in no time without the use of chemicals. Even gives tired looking carpets a new lease of life between cleans !

The washing instructions for the microfibre cloth conflicted - so I'm not sure which method is best for preserving their usefulness. (The booklet says one thing, the label says another. In fact, the other side of the same label says another thing entirely!) Aside from this, it leaves the floor wonderfully shiny and clean but a bit damp for a while afterwards. I would have expected the water to evaporate quickly (as it was steam) but this does not seem to be the case. The instructions are also unclear on whether the trigger should be depressed the whole time when moving or sporadically. Apart from these slight annoyances, it works well and is easy to use once you've got the hang of it.

I am very impressed with the steam cleaner. It was easy to assemble - the instructions are good and it is easy to use. We have quarry tile floors and a dog who walks the same path over them many times a day leaving a dirt trail that I used to have to scrub clean. The steam cleaner cleans very effectively and easily - with no detergent - just water.

Does what it says on the tin - worked right out of the box - first class results - even included a spare mop head - can't say fairer than that.

I am very pleased with the product itself there is one thing that could
be inproved is the floor attachment which you have to attach to the machine before you clean the floor i think it should be made of something more stonger material becourse i have only used mine 3 times and it already started to wear.

A couple of years ago we made a bad decision to lay a slightly textured light grey lino in our hallway, which very quickly became ingrained with dirt. Because the only way to clean it was to get down on hands and knees with a scrubbing brush, it has remained something of an eyesore. However, the steam cleaner has made a world of difference. Although it will take a while for all the ingrained dirt to be removed, I have now cleaned it three times (with so little effort!) and it looks brilliant already.

great little machine works a treat

It's a whizz to use, simple lite and just perfect. It shows our kids what a clean floor is all about, not just hoovered every wk/end but cleaned properly with all the dirt & dust and rubbish of spent times. Absolutely brill & well worth the price I paid for it in Asda Milton, Dundee. An absolute godsend, fantastic !!!!!!!

I have found the S2 quick and easy to use for freshening up tiled floors. Before the arrival of the S2, I cleaned the floors on hands and knees with a bucket. The S2 is making life much easier. It is better to vacuum the area to be cleaned first to remove dust and crumbs etc otherwise these elements end up on the cloth and get mopped around. The size of the head is ideal for larger kitchen areas, but from my experience is a bit too big when cleaning around toilet pans and pedestals. The head is flexible but not as useful in awkward small areas.

Vax is good but it does leave the floor a bit wet and takes a while to be completely dry but I don't mind this. Easy to assemble and easy to use

The steam cleaner is easy to use and gives my wooden floors a good deep clean and desinficts the floor at the same time. This is very important for me as I have 2 large dogs and 2 cats.

Great product. Only one small niggle - the drawstring cover is a bit fiddly to put on and is hard to draw tight enough to stop it coming off but the cleaning is great and I am pleased with the purchase.

We purchase a floor cleaner that proved to be faulty (leaking) But, because we had registered under the two year warranty over the web site, the system was replaced without any quibbles. That is good service!

After reading favourable reviews I purchased the Vax hard floor master and found it fairly easy to use and water fill, compared to my previous steam cleaner, it is a decent power cord length and does not spill water everywhere, covers are easy to fit and remove for washing.

An excellent product. I now actually enjoy cleaaning my floors. Cant wait to try it on my carpet!!

I'm extremely pleased with the Vax steam mop. It's really easy to use, quite lightweight and compact. It's easily stowed away in a cupboard. The results of cleaning are very good - a very user friendly piece of household equipment.

This is a really good, easy to use machine. Lightweight but not flimsy. Quick to reach temperature and easy to fill. Could have done with a longer flex, and a 'proper' corner as there are small places it doesnt reach. The microfibre cloth is easy to attach and easy to wash, by hand or machine. The carpet triangle is easy to use and really freshens up the rugs, gets rid of pet smells.

I brought the Vax because I was fed up with using a mop and bucket on my kitchen floor which was alwas a mess as it is a light colour and I have two cats who refuse to wipe their feet when they come in from the garden. The Vax is quick and easy to use and works well and I am very happy with it.It also leaves a nice warm clean smell in the bathrooms. I am suprised by how much dirt is picked up by the cloth even when I think the floor is clean. The only bug bear which is minor is the water holder which doesn't "click" into place as per the instructions but I haven't had any leaks etc. All in all a good prouct which I have recommended.

Steamed up quickly. Left floors clean and dry. The two cleaning pads supplied with the machine are not enough. I had no other option, since we had the whole house to clean, but to make ad hoc 'covers'. Those supplied got soiled very quickly. At least five are needed for a long cleaning session.

I like the vax better than my last floor steam cleaner. It has a long er lead and it does a better job. The only negative is that it is heavier to push than my old steam cleaner although I am in my sixties and probably a younger person would not even notice. Overall I think it is a very good buy for the money.

It's great, thanks it's quick to steam up and glades through the wood floor have not tested on carpet yet but hope it will clean up just as good.

The product is easy to use, and the instructions were easy to follow. The results so far are very good. I use the steam cleaner on vynyl flooring in my kitchen and utility room, both of which have heavy use. I find that the floor is clean without using any special cleansing products.
On price, dearer than some models, cheaper than others but I think it is good value for money

Overall I am quite happy with this product. Its easy to use and cleans well. The only problem is the cloth that you attach to the bottom to pick up the dirt does tend to flick off every now and again. It may just be the way Im using it and in time I will get used to it. Apart from that as I have said it cleans well, so no complaints really.

ok, does what it says on the box, lead plenty long enough for go round half my kitchen floor, i had to unplug and change sockets to complete the job. I found the mop heads a little thin, but do wash up well in the washing machine. No other comments

this is the third steam mop ive had and its by far the best,very easy to use,the water tank comes off so you can fill it which is much easier no need for a jug you can fill it straight from the tap,while a lot of these type of machines dont seem to last long if you live in a hard water area this cleaner has a filter so need need to buy water softener, it heats up fast and a full tank gets you a lot of cleaning done,only downside is it is heavier to push than other machines ive had so maybe not the machine for the old or infirm but i love it!

This is easy to fill and use. It is equaly great on my kitchen floor and on my stair carpet.

I absolutely love this machine. It was very easy to assemble, which only took a couple of minutes. The removable water tank is very easy to fill (and to help the filter to last as long as possible I use filtered water from my brita jug). One of the best features for me is that once plugged in it is ready to go in less than one minute. It steams effortlessly and leaves floors virtually dry. I feel the S2 is the best steam mop on the market, with no gimmicks.

Very happy with the S2 Hard Floor Master. I have 3 rooms with Karndean vinyl flooring and was delighted with the way it cleaned. It left the floor very slightly damp which dried in a few seconds.

This ptroduct, the U90-MA-R Mach Air Reach, like ALL the other Vax products is brilliant. I like the way it can be almost completely taken apart to wash the Dust Collection Cylinder out, so that it can be thouroughly cleaned out. I like the long extension hose with the Turbo Head for completely cleaning the stairs. The 10 metre 33 foot long Power Cable saves looking around for the next Mains Socket. I like this product very much BUT I have already had to phone your customer help line to order another cloth for the base of it as the string in the 1st one I used burst so I feel that there could be some more thought on how to improve that...

I have found the floomaster is light and flexible to use and performs really well giving my floors a deep clean that I couldn't achieve with a standard floor cleaner. Overall I would recommend the floormaster as great value for money and time.

I have MS and Arthritis, It is the best purchase I have made as it makes it possible for me to clean my ceramic tiles without totally exhusting myself and with the minimum of pain from my finger joints. I would recommend it to anyone. I love it! I have yet to buy replacement microfibre pads/covers and the cost of these is my only concern as they do not appear to wash up very well, either by hand or machine.

We've tried a few electric floor cleaners, and this is our favourite. It's very easy to use, lightweight and quiet ...and more to the point, it's efficient. The water tank is very easy to fill and replace, and an indicator light shows it ready for use very quickly. The cleaning pads are easy to put in place - best way for me is to lay the pad on the floor, pop the machine on top and tighten the drawstring.

We have a fairly large kitchen & utility room, and for easiest use I like to use three or four pads when doing a thorough clean. If any wetness is left on the floor, having a dry microfibre mop to hand quickly deals with that. The fresh pads do not leave any wetness, but this can occur once they become saturated. Either rinse & wring out a few times or replace with a fresh, dry one. A smaller floor area will only need one pad per use. The pads are easily rinsed out and dried after use.

The machine is very easy to use and can smoothly swivel around corners etc.
The electrical cord is long enough to do both these rooms easily.
Our floor covering in these rooms is a pale ivory cushionfloor, and at times, such as in bad weather, it can need a more thorough clean - so I sometimes spray some household cleaner onto the grimier areas to help clean it faster. On areas of normal use, it isn't at all necessary as the S2 leaves the floor fresh and clean.

After use, there's no cleaning of the machine to be done, and it can be put away taking up very little space. I only have one small grumble: the switch needs to be depressed all the time to produce steam, and having a little arthritis, it can make my fingers ache after a while - personally, I'd have preferred a definite on/off switch.

Apart from that small thing, we cannot fault the S2 for efficiency and ease of use.

The s2 Hard Floor Master is easy to set up and to use. It is a good weight and feels sturdy. The triangular head is a dream and moves with ease and a fluidity of movement enabling you to clean in corners and around furniture even slightly under some static pieces. The cable could do with being a fraction longer although it is long enough for most jobs. It is quite quiet and does a good steaming job on tiles and wooden and laminate flooring although some of the more difficult long term stains are not removed. I used it to freshen my rugs today and am quite pleased with the outcome. Do not be confused between a freshen and a clean as if you require a clean carpet ie removal of stains or spots this is not the machine for you.However as a floor cleaner and carpet freshener I find it more than adequate and would recommend it to anyone.

The Vax is a breeze to use compared to the grubby and time consuming bucket and mop it replaces. It also cleans far more efficiently, as I tested on first use - on a just cleaned mop-and-bucket floor. I was amazed how much grime the Vax found! Avoiding the use of possibly harmful chemicals is another huge plus - I have cats who do at times insist on taking their food out of their bowls, and eating it directly from the floor. This means that first of all the floor needs cleaning after their feed and that now I don't have to worry about residual cleaning products being left on the floor for the next time messy cat insists on using the floor as plate!. Brilliant Vax!

Bought another make from Argos and it didn't last very long! Bought yours as a replacement and now can't figure out why we didn't buy it in the first place!!! Great weight and easy to fill with water. Has a good deal of steam to get the floor really clean. Works well on the tiled floor by the cooker to remove grease etc. We have deceided to give it 9 out of 10. Only reason not 10/10 is that we feel the cable could be a little longer. Very good product.

This has proved to be an effective and useful product. Having four cats and a dog, muddy paw prints are a thing of the past. It is so easy to use. I also know that it will leave the floor clean but also hygienically clean. The S2 Hard Floor Master also works well on refreshing and cleansing the carpets.

Absolutely Brilliant, before purchasing the Vax floor steamer, we bought another well known cheaper brand, got it home turned it on and low and behold nothing, no steam even after waiting 10 min. Took it back to Argos and swopped it for the Vax, ready to go in 1 min and it is so easy, lots of steam, and what i like about it is that the floors are not really wet only damp. Nice long power cord, and as i have nearly all hard floors and rugs, it brings floors and carpets up nice and fresh and smelling clean.

i was hasty when purchasing and paid more than i expected from argos.A fewhichw weeks later iwent to comet and saw it for less than fifteen pounds cheaper.I also see your floor washer/ scruber which i did not know you made which might have suited my needs better.The steamer is working fairly well,but does not remove stubborn marks and scuffs. yours Hazel Massingham

The Vax is a fantastic machine but I do find it very heavy and hard to push, but with time I should get used to it.

I found the hard floor master very good indeed. I had a stain on my kitchen floor that was left from my son dropping his chewing gum next to the kitchen bin and i had tried many products to remove this with no success, however, on my 1st use of the hard flood master, i was successful in removing it totally. It is also a great product for me as i have allergies to many cleaning products that can get in the air, and the hard floor master only uses steam, so reduces allergens and also leaves everything really clean and me with a feeling of satisfaction as i know all germs have been killed and the surface is hygenic.

Easy to use and the steam was ready very quickly but the floor became too wet after a short while.

I purchased the S2 Hard Floor Master because i have chronic arthritis and found conventional mops more and more inconvenient. I chose the Vax mainly because my mum had one years ago and was always very happy with it. It was extremely easy to assemble and very easy to fill on my first use. I have hard floors everywhere so it was just like running the hoover round, bliss. It didnt make my dark laminate too wet, or, thank heavens, not streaky. I have only one niggle and that is i think they could have made the lead a little longer, other than that i am extremely pleased with my purchase and no longer dread having to clean my floors. It sits neatly in my cupboard in the hall and hardly takes any room up at all, so as well as being compact its also nice and light and i would recommend this to anyone who is fed up with trying to squeeze out sodden mops and buying endless floor cleaners that dont work.
