Dual V V-124A

I have been wanting to buy a carpet cleaner for some time but wanted a quality cleaner I was unsure of which model would do a great job. It is difficult to choose a carpet cleaner to buy when you only have the manufacturers description and word for what it does. My sister bought the V-124A Dual V and after seeing it being used, the ease of use, you can see the dirt that has been lifted from the carpet,and how clean and refreshed her carpet came up, (like new) I knew I had to buy one.

After my V-124A Dual V arrived I couldn't wait to have a go at using the Dual V, I was completely impressed. My carpet in my living room came up brilliant, and after using it in my hallway I couldnt believe how much dirt it had lifted from my carpet.

My carpets are now fresh and clean and with the action of the Dual V brush heads my carpets pile has risen and they look like new again.

My V-124A Dual V comes with a no fuss six year guarantee which is fantastic. I would definitaly recomend this carpet cleaner, the price at first seems a little expensive, if you take into account the six year no fuss guarantee, its a great deal.

excellent does exactly what it says on the box, the best carpet cleaner we have ever used.

I am extremely pleased with the results achieved by this cleaner, both on my sofa & chairs, which are now vibrant terracotta chenille again! I had alsmost decided to buy new furniture.
My carpets are also clean, soft and fragrant, (I own a large golden retriever, so this machine had to work very hard)

My last cleaner was a bissell, which although effecient initially, had lost a lot of power, also it was very heavy and difficult to manouver, not my Vax! easy peasey & quick. Worth every penny. My daughter wanted to borrow it, but is going to buy her own.

excellent machine bit pricey but does a fabulous job

The Vax V-124A Dual V I recently purchased is truly fantastic.
I thought my carpets were relatively clean until I used the Vax, the dirt removed from them was amazing!!
The Vax is very easy to use, both tanks just click into place and your all ready to go.
The results are fantastic, one of my better purchases.

I have used the Vax machine once so far and was greatly impressed. It left my lounge carpet, not only clean, but practically dry. My carpet had been professionally cleaned only about 3 months ago, and so I was very surprised to see how dirty the water was when I cleaned my carpet. The machine itself is a little heavy to move around when setting up, but once you get cleaning it is easy to manoeuvre. I look forward to using it on my stairs next!

I've used my VAX V-124A Dual V several times, it is worth every penny, although it is not the cheap one.
Quite heavy, as well.
I have got six children, and at the time of that awful tummy bug (norovirus), if you have kids you know what I mean, this machine is the best at hand.
My aquarium also cracked, and quite a lot of water was spilt, but my Vax saved the day, and my carpet is almost dry, due to very quick acting, but the machine is excellent! Most of the water from the fishtank was collected in no time.
Definitely would recommend to anyone, especially with kids, and if you have pet, then this is the machine for you!
Can be used to wash the mattress as well, I did that, superb.
Our mattresses did not look stained, but the colour of the waste water indicates how clean is yours...

I found the Vax V124 very easy to use and liked the fact that the shampoo is seperate to the water. Its very easy to take apart and clean. It really dried the carpet well and i am, very impressed with it . Great buy

i am very happy with my carpet cleaner it brings the carpets up like new cleans deep down and sucks the dirty water up very well it also brings the pile of the carpet back to life would recommend it to anyone many thanks

So pleased with my purchase. Very easy to setup,use and clean can't as yet fault the product.

A really good machine. Got loads of dirt out of the carpet and it looked very fresh and like new when I had finished. The machine is very heavy to carry up and down stairs, but I knew this before I bought it and won't be doing this often. Not tried the stair cleaning tools yet. I like the way the cleaning fluid is in a separate section and automatically gets fed in as you use it. A very good buy.

A great product which does all it is claimed it will. Amazed what came out of what we thought were clean carpets. Ideal for anyone with animals.

I think this machine is fantastic, easy to use and clean and the dirt that gets lifted from the carpets is unbelievable! The only critism I have is that it is heavy, and just needed a bit of muscle power to get it upstairs, other than that it is perfect and I would recommend to everyone I know. I pride myself on a clean house and clean carpets, especially as I have 2 dogs and a baby! I could not believe the colour of the dirty water that came out, it really does clean deep down. Well done to such a great creation!

excellent shampooer

What an awsome bit of kit. So easy to use, fill, clean etc. We were up and running in minutes from the box, and thought about leaving using it till the summer when it was warmer / dryer, but i couldn't wait. I was amazingly surprised at how dry it left the carpets, and bone dry in an extra couple of hours really. Horrified at how much dirt it pulled up, but very pleased at the same time. I can't fault it. I would recomend one to anybody. just got to stop everyone else borrowing it now.

SIMPLY THE BEST

Only use the vax once, but it has brought up a 10 year old carpet very well.

The carpet a cream one is in my study and has been marked by my computer which had left black marks. The vax did not remove these completely but made a vast difference.
It removed all other stains.

I was considering replacing the carpet with wooden flooring, but the carpet looks cream again and almost as new.

It also removed all marks from the hall carpet.

Glad I bought it and with a six year warranty very pleased.

I think this is a excellent machine, I live in a bungalow and I have two young dogs that run in and out all day whether it's rain or shine, so the mud is a huge issue for me.

I was very skeptical about whether this machine was man enough to clean my carpets. I am totally amazed they have not only cleaned my carpets they look brand new and they are dry in record time it is a amazing machine well worth the money.

The hand tool is great too for when coffee or wine is spilled on the floor just a quick wipe over and its all clean again.

I would highly recommend this item every time.

I have hired and used other carpet cleaners before but non have come close to the quality an preformance of the Vax V-124A Dual V. It is fast, easy to use and my carpets dryed out very fast. I would recomend this machine to friends and family particularly those who have light coloured carpets.

The VAX machine came well pack, the machine was assembled apart from the hose housing. The machine was very easy to use no harder than an ordinary upright vacuum cleaner. The first carpet we cleaned was our dinning room were our dog has taken it upon himself to set home the oil from his coat had marked the carpet. In one cleaning seasion the VAXs had dealt with the mark. The whole carpet looked new. I felt the instruction booklet could have been more precise on how to use the VAX. A 5 star machine worth very penny

Absolutely a best buy. It does what it says it does. Brings up carpets as new. Easy to use. Great value for money.

Does as it says and bring even the toughest stains out of yr carpets etc, easy to use must have as i have four kids from 12 to 3. Carperts are dry within hour of cleaning them i would not be with out my carpet vax and would buy again if i had to. Had other carpert cleaners and they never did the job but this one does well pleased with it and would recommend to anyone!!

I found the Vax easy to use and was very efficient. The only problem I had was that it was a little heavy to carry up stairs. Overall though I found it more efficient then my old Vax. I am extremely pleased with the end result.

Anyone thinking of buying this machine most definitely should, it does exactly what it says on the box. I was amazed at how much dirt and grime came out of my carpets, they smelled fresher and looked cleaner. The only downside of the machine is the weight and bulkiness of it, it is not easy to carry up and down stairs but the fact that it does such a good job compensates for this. It is easy to use with the instructions being clear to read and understand. It is a bit on the pricey side but at the end of the day you get a very good product for your money and it should last for many years.

Love it i live a flat with no stairs and my hallway carpet leads into every room so you can imaging the dirt,especially with 2 young children and a dog!
All the stains came up 1st try which amazed us as our previous carpet cleaner (and might i say not a cheap one)did'nt.
It also brought the pile back up not fully but enough to make the carpet not look so worn i could not recomended this product high enough.

First immpressions is what a fantastic machine, I have never tried any other carpet washers but after the results I have had I dont think I would like to try any other machine.

I tried another carpet cleaning solution that my freind gave me but when it ran out I tried vax AAA what a difference, the part of carpet I had cleaned with the other cleaner had to be done over with Vax AAA to get it the same shade.

I would recomend this Vax 124 Dual V to anyone.

hi to those who are thinking of getting a vax carpet cleaner, i purchased the v-124A Dual v and it's brill, i have tryed it and can say hand on hart that it does what it it says. you will be as pleased as me if you get one. mair.

This machine does exactly what it says on the tin. Its so easy to set up and use, the only downside is that it can get a little heavy. My carpets are like new and the small brush head is ideal for sofas etc. I would definately recommend this to my friends.

I have two dogs who are allways in and out of the garden so carpets need to be cleaned at least twice a year.
This is the best machine i have ever used my carpets looked almost as good as new,and the rotating brushes brought the pile of the carpet back up.

ive used it and its brill got my carpet really clean and it wasnt that wet dryed within a hour ,u could really c all the dirt it had picked up it was great gonna try it on my car seats next and my sofa im really glad i brought this well worth the money

The cleaning power is excellent and carpets are left quite dry once you get used to the number of drying runs needed.

It does use quite a lot of Vax Ultra but the results certainly justify the cost.

The machine itself is quite heavy and cumbersome but you can't expect these results from a lightweight.

Great product, solid built, very quick to set up and use, takes all the back work out of cleaning your carpets because you are upright with no need to stoop. I would recommend this product to any of my friends.

I can not think of any thing to say other than its great would'nt be with out it.
I have dogs and grandchildren muddy feet and drinks stains no problem my carpets are pale blue thay look like new. it will do everything with out any problems at all. carpets dry within 2 hrs.

We have only used the machine with the hose attachments so far but have had great results on stains and local dirty areas, the spin scrub attachment works very well. Very impressed with this product.

I found the vax carpet washer excellent it cleaned and freshened my carpet lovely I am very pleased with the result and it was so easy to use.

Very effective and easy way of cleaning carpets

Brilliant piece of kit. its got to work hard to keep up with 3 kids a dog and muddy work boots and it does all of that brilliantly .

An excellent machine - does what it says on the tin. Cleaning all my white carpets was a large and heavy job and took me several hours to wash and rinse/dry them all. I am sure this is the only machine on the market that could have tackled it. The motor was quite noisy on the ears like some vacuum cleaners but with results like this I can put up with it. I am really pleased. Would I buy Vax again ? You bet!

The Dual V Vax is brilliant, it cleans first time every time and the carpet is ready to use after about 40 mins although I like to give it an hour. I no longer fret about the mess the dog or family leave, every week I am amazed at the dirty water that's collected in the machine. You can see the water being returned into the machine through the filters so its a good guide as to how dry the carpet actually is. It's an investment and because I like large light coloured rugs, I know they will be kept bright and clean with this machine. It's great on stair carpets too, I have still to try it out on the upholstery but I feel assured that I will be happy with it. It's great to have the 6 year guarantee for back up, obviously Vax has great confidence in it. I would recommend this to people who don't have the time to wait for the carpet to dry and who need a thorough carpet cleaner. Even those with rugs on laminate as the water does not generally come through the pile, it's an ingenious way of cleaning. Well done vax!

Im really pleased with my new vax dual carpet cleaner as its so easy to use , it does look very heavy but looks are very deceptive as it is'nt it's light compared to some others iv'e used before , the design is great seperate water tank & soap tank & the dirty water collection tank is also seperate , very easy to clean afterwards , im hoping to buy another one soon as i would like one for my mum as shes always using mine i give this cleaner 10/10 many thanks for making my carpet cleaning so much easier .

Perfect cleaner. It feels heavy but for what you get it does not make any difference to me. It will get rid of any stains you have and cleans cream carpet perfectly. By the way i have 2 dogs at home and they always manage to spill something on that cream carpet!

Excellent. Easy and quick to use and the results are great.

The vax is well constructed and is very easy to use. The way that the solution is mixed with the clean water is excellent. The way in which the dirty water is collected in a second tank is also excelllent. Previous to this purchase i owned 2 bissel pro heats. In comparrison the Vax is outstanding.

Value for money is first class, the warranty is excellent.

My only critisism is that the hand tool hose could be secured better. If there was a place for the hose ends to attach to the main unit whilst in storage, i.e. Your cleaning the carpet and the hose ends seem to dangle down. Sometimes they can foul the mains cable. Isuppose im trying to say that the hand tool hose carry/securing system needs to be more ergonomic.

Apart from that tiny issue so far so good an excellent product.

Great Product. I just tested it on a small area to make sure it worked and it left a bright clean square so I had to clean the whole carpet! Very pleased with its performance. It is very light and user friendly. Haven't used it on the furniture yet but I am confident that that too will be sparkling clean soon.

It is easy to use and cleans the carpet very well, leaving it virtually dry.
My wife and I were very surprised at the colour of the water after cleaning. We did not think that the carpets were that dirty.
My only adverse comment would be that the container with the clean water and cleansing fluid is not that easy to fit without some of the water leaking out.
Apart from that I am very pleased with it.

So far, I am delighted with the cleaning capacity of the V124A. I haven't used the hose yet but will do so soon. I had a Bex Bissell prior to purchasing this machine. This is far superior. I looked up the 'Which' report on carpet cleaners. It was so inaccurate that I probably would not have purchased it! The introduction says that you cannot use it on hard surfaces, which is correct. However, the full specification says that you can! Apart from a brief note that there is a hose, it was never tested at all. The thing that convinced me was the 6 year guarantee. Again, there was no mention of this in the 'Which' report

I think that there could be a better electric lead management. After wrapping the lead around the two spigots, there is no where to park the plug; it just dangles! A simple solution is to use a plug with a lug which allows you to attach the plug onto the cable.

Well, I never expected it to work so well. A good cleaner does the job well, would have liked a drier carpet and something to keep the clean water container intact more solidly (like the dirty water tank). Other than that a good phurchase. Thanks

I had not realised just how dirty our carpet was! very easy to use although perhaps a little heavy.I was however quite shocked at the price of the shampoo.In general i am very impressed with this carpet cleaner and would recommend this model to anyone

Does just what it says on the tin. Excellent product with its only downside being that is is quite heavy to manoeuvre.

The Carpet cleaner we have used once and found it to be very good with the cleaning process as we have dogs and our carpets were very dirty and it did a good job, the carpets smell fresh now and some stains that i didn't think would come out did,so 9 out of 10. My only gripe is the cleaning fluid is very expensive.

This is my first VAX carpet cleaner I have owned and it is fantastic.
I have had 2 cleaners before this by other manufacturers but this is by far the best. Its easy to use and very maneuverable. The only downside is the cost of the detergent compared to other brands. I do like the free six year warranty.

Excellent brings sad old carpets up like new. Clever design makes it easy to use and clean after use.
Would not swap this machine for any other, and I have tried quite a few.

An excellent product that is very effective, it does what it is supposed to. Certainly a powerful carpet cleaner. Only one slight downside, that is the noise level. Having been involved in sound measurement for a number of years, the SPL at the reasonable working distance from the motor(arms length approx. 1 metre) is close to if not exceeds at times the 85dBA advisory level. Noise canceling headphones or at least attenuating phones would be advisable with prolonged continuous usage. I would certainly recommend it for its effectiveness with the included advisory.

I found this product extremely easy to use and my carpets very clean at the end. I managed to clean them in half the time it took with my previous machine (not a Vax) but probably the thing I liked most about this machine is the easy way I was able to clean it when I finished. The way it comes to bits is perfect. However, I found it a bit awkward trying to place the full clean water tank in place as it was quite heavy but after a few tries this problem was resolved. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of getting a carpet cleaner.

The V 124 A Dual V is a compact, easy to use cleaner, that is supplied ready assembled. The accompanying user brochure explains everything for the first time user an enables first time cleans to be undertaken without any bother.
It is amazing how the dirt seems to be lifted away and the carpet left in apparent pristine condition. Drying time obviously varies according to conditions but soon you arte able to sit in a room with a carpet that appears to have been delivered new.
From the many choices available it seems we have scored a big hit.

Quite simply, 'it does what is says on the tin'

Very easy to use from the first go. It may appear very plastic'y but after a few hours use you can appreciate how well designed the Dial V is.
Only slight disappointment if the performance of the stair cleaning attachment. It merely sprays the cleaning fluid onto the carpet and the two spinning scrubbers are rather in effective and poorly positioned.
It is big, it is loud (ear defenders are a must).All in all though the performance of the cleaner itself is excellent and I would recommend it to others.

had a previous vax machine which was hard to use and extra hard to keep clean, my new vax is lighter easier to push around and with the brushes at the front cleaning carpets gets better results

An excellent machine. It does the job it is designed to, very effectively.
Its operation is easy as the design ensures a thorough and deep clean to carpets. It is very effective in fluid application, scrubbing, rinsing and removal of the dirty water.
The carpets look great, totally revived in colour and pile.
At first, I thought the machine appeared a little 'plasticy' when taken out the box. However, the materials used and the construction of the different parts are more than adequate. The removal/fitting of the various tanks and scrubbing brushes is quite easy. After use, the latter fact enables the operator to thoroughly clean the machine in readiness for its next use.

If I had to submit one critisim it would be that the the machine is heavy with full cleaning tanks. This was not a problem for me but I believe it would be too uncomfortable in weight for my wife to use.

Would I recommend it to others - definitely.

Absolutely brilliant machine, only gripe is that the mains cable is not very flexible a bit too rigid. other than that first class!

I Like it very much, it even brought the pile back on the carpet, my only complant is, it is very heavy to lift upstairs and from room to room. But otherwise I like it.

"Wow" what a fantastic piece of kit!! I have an enormous Mastiff dog and occasionally he has little accidents(well huge ones actually) and being as im very house proud I need a cleaner that really works. This is my second Vax in 10 years, the first one worked forever before it needed to be replaced!!The new one is even more efficiant and very easy to use once you get the hang of it. The only down side is its a little heavy but I would say the benifits far outweigh the negatives.

Bought the Vax machine after owning 3 x Bissells. They have all broke, we like the Vax a lot, very efficient and scrubs carpets much better.

I purchased the Vax duel v i am very happy with it's performance, it is quite heavy and some of the plastic seems like it is brittle and may break if your not careful. The rinse option is excellent as you dont keep putting formula on the carpet, thus saving on product. It cleans carpets thoroughly and dries quickly depending on pile length, (short pile within 2 hours) I have had 3 bissell machines and would definately stick with vax in future.

I was exceptionally pleased how easy this was to use and was just like hoovering the house. Emptying and filling up was simple - the only thing was when the brushes got clogged up not too easy to clean and took some time but on the whole very pleased with the product.

I am amazed at how clean my carpet is after using my cleaner for the first time.we have recently required a puppy so as you can imagine the little accident which occur, but after using the carpet cleaner they all disappeared. I would recomend this to anyone with children or a animal,as it’s easy to use and you get great results.

Esat to put together, just follow the instructions.Look out for extra instructions in the box!
Very pleased with first use. My wife does it properly slow sweeps whereas I do the man thing and rush all ove rthe place. Doing it the wifes way and it produces excellent results.

This carpet cleaner is very very good, I am very happy with this Vax.

Very easy to use and leaves the carpets virtually dry.

Pleased with item. It cleans well and is quick and easy to use.
Simple to set up and wash out afterwards.
Only downside is I find it noisy, especially in confined spaces.

Easy to use. A sharp edge on the front can cause damage to paint on skirting board, our paint was chipped.

Clean water container quite tricky to install without too much water escaping.

On the whole I am very impressed with this product, the cleaning is great and the carpets dry pretty quickly. The only couple of things that I would change are as follows:

1. The weight - it is rather heavy, I find it hard work to push and pull when it is full of water, also my husband has to carry it upstairs as it is far too heavy for me to manage it.

2. I owned your smaller carpet washer before purchasing this one and I believe that there is a design fault with both models that has always infuriated me and that is: the bottom section where the dirty water collects is very hard to clean. It would be alot better if it could be taken apart for cleaning, I am a perfectionist and when I have finished using the machine I want to put it away clean and in new condition; I believe that if I look after appliances they will look after me and give me good service for many years, which considering the price of this machine is in my opinion no more than I should expect. Please ask your design engineers to come out with a simple way to take the bottom section apart for cleaning and make it lighter and it would be absolutely perfect. Thankyou

Fairly easy to use . I had to shampoo and rinse many times but it was vomit I was cleaning up! Couldn't get all the fluff out of the clear cover even with detaching it , but most rinsed away. There is no way to increase or decrease the amount of shampoo dispensed from the side container, although I could just mix up solution in the water tank and then put clear water in tank to rinse but that is more difficult to do.
Brushes and containers easy to clean.It is heavy to lift upstairs so it is better to put water etc into tanks after lifting upstairs. Overall good.
