Floormate V-120

Excellent value! works brilliantly.

I have now used the product several times and I am impressed. It certainly gets the floor clean and sucks up a lot of the residual liquid. It's more effective than a mop and bucket! My only criticism would be around the volume of the tank, you do get through it quite quickly, but it's a minor quibble.

We have safety flooring in the kitchen and dining room, which is very difficult to clean well. Nothing touches it. Except the floormate. Ok, it may take longer to use on this type of floor than other hard floors, but the job is a good one. I would like to have seen a hand tool included though, as it's difficult to get in nooks and crannies with the head. But this cleaner is light enough, dry vacs and picks up spillages, so I'm really happy to give it house room. The price was great, too.

Very Pleased the only downside is it could be made better so it gets to the edges of the floor it does not get right up to them

Does what it says on the tin!The floor is clean and dry on completion, no more mopping with dirty water,far more cleaning power than the cordless version as you would expect and needs less room for storage.

Absolutely amazing,I have been pondering on getting one of these machine's for a while and eventually got one and i wish i had got it sooner.It is very easy to use and results are very good,no need for a mop and bucket anymore,I have tiled floor's and laminate flooring and it does the job in a quarter of the time it used to take me.Don't ponder buy it.

A good performer, simple and effective to use and keenly priced

We purchased the hard floor washer after purchasing a Vax carpet washer which has done a wonderful job cleaning our carpets, the hard floor washer has given us the same results. I find it quick and easy to use, which is a blessing as we have 3 cats who take great delight in coming in with muddy paws, it has completely replaced our old mop and bucket.

I bought this to replace an old floor cleaner. It was so easy to assemble and can't believe how much dirt it got off the kitchen floor! It's great that it dries too. One tank of solution easily cleaned kitchen, bathroom and en-suite. It's quite heavy, but that's only a minor thing. Really impressed! In fact we are buying our son one for Christmas!!

Brilliant, easy to use best little cleaner ever for hard floors and wood. Leave the floor dry and clean. Never be without one again.

Having used the unit on a number of occasions now; overall I am quietly impressed with the product. The unit is straight forward to set-up, use and maintain. 9/10 for ease of use and makes light work of hard floor cleaning. The motor noise level is towards the high side, however, in my mind this is acceptable on the basis of the overall performance of the unit.

Large house with hardwood floors in most rooms. V-120 made cleaning easy. Very much liked the idea that I could dry clean, wash and wetdry all with a flick of a switch. Excellent.

This is my second machine so it must be good mustn't it? Yes it is but the first one failed a little over 2 years old due to the cable braking down somewhere near where it enters the machine. The cable entry point is basically a fairly stiff rubber grommet assembly. Come Vax designers. How about a flexible rubberised connector similar to the style Dyson use on their vacuums. The spin scrub brushes as noted in other reviews don't apply much scrubbing force to the floor but unless you have something stuck to it (I'm cleaning vinyl) do a perfectly good job. Anything that may very occasionally get left as a mark on the floor certainly wouldn't be removed with a mop. It would require some intense localised srcubbing / wiping.
I wouldn't have bought another one of these if it was't any good. I have two Alaskan Malamutes who can certainly make the floor dirty very quickly & the Floormate does a fantastic job every time leaving the floor clean and just as importantley dry. The only other minor omplaint I have would be for the machine to have slightly bigger water tanks and finally after owning one previously for a couple of years I found that leaving the clean water tank clipped onto the machine all the time eventually made it stick and very hard to remove when you next wanted to use the machine. A minor gripe soon fixed by applying some Vaseline to the 'O' ring the tank clips onto. Overall a very good machine. Just like their carpet cleaners (V-124. I just can't believe that more places don't sell them.

The vax floor mate is brilliant, i hated cleaning the floor with a mop and bucket as i always found the floor was still dirty evan if i rinsed it with just water after, and it was alot of effort too as i have a large down stairs which is all hard floor. I had been looking for a while for this sort of thing that would clean my floor properly and i have to say that this is just fantastic, when i have finished cleaning the floors my children have been running around in white socks and there socks were still clean. This machine picks up all the dirt as you clean it and leaves it dry too. The only down side to this great machine it that you can't turn it very well and the capacity for both the clean water and the dirty water is very small and i find i'm constantly having to stop the machine to emty it and fill it up again. I do hope that vax makes this twice as big at least when they come to improving it in the future! but apart from that i would definatly recomend that all people get one!! brilliant vax keep up the good work!!

It is a brilliant machine and has utterly transformed my cleaning of large areas of Amtico on the ground floor of our house. Goodbye finally to those wretched old floor mops, even the "microfibre" ones which were useless- my knees will benefit too!
I love seeing all the dirty water that comes up into the container!
Initially I found it a bit hard to assemble, and did not realize one has to pull the lever to release water- I thought it was not working properly because no water was coming out- maybe I missed the instruction in the booklet but it wasn't obvious initially and I am not particularly stupid--- anyway, once I had sorted that, everything was fine. The Vax is just what I have been looking for and did not realize existed until a friend told me about hers- the power of female chat!
I hope the after-sales service lives up to the product, with two years warranty from buying it on-line I am more than satisfied, would rate it very highly indeed!

The floorcleaner is without doubt the best gadget i have in the house.I have terracotta tiles throughout ,a large stable yard and arena outside and a labradoodle puppy that spends all day running between the two. Nasty! Especially on a wet day.I doubted the ability of the cleaner but it is doing a great job.Its easy to use,easy to empty and takes no longer than it would to vacume the area.

My back especially likes the cleaner at the end of a long day.I can definitely say my scrubbing brush and knee pads are going on ebay. Thank you Mr Vax.Only complaint i have is it took me so long to find the cleaner and fell across it quite by accident looking for something else.Every shop should sell one.

Good machine which was quick to put together and easy to use. Does a large kitchen and utility floor of cream and teracotta quarry tiles pretty quickly and easily. I have 2 large dogs and use the machine 3 times a week and it saves a lot of work.

bought this due to limited mobility as unable to use mop and bucket anymore. i wish i had bought one years ago, its so easy to use the floors are spotless and afterwards the floors are dry in no time. very easy to clean the machine and filters after you have used it highly recommended

Works well, but my partner says it doe not feel robust. Long cable very good.

I am more than happy with the product, it very easy to use, and does an excellant job, much easier than an old fashioned Mop and Bucket, I have a Cat so he makes the floors quite mucky, but your wonderful product cleans the floors in next to no time, so glad I bought it.

Thanks to Vax for asking me to provide feedback about my V-120 Floormate. Myself and my wife are using the said cleaner first time in our lives. It is very handy and easy to store with a reasonable weight. We have got about ninety percent wooden flooring in our house. So it is very easy for us to use the said cleaner i.e for dry vacuum cleaning and at the same time to wash the flooring if required. The other good facility in the said cleaner is the picking/sucking of the liquid/spill. In other words it is easy to switch among the dry vacuum cleaning, washing of the wooden flooring and pick/suck of the spill.
I would like to submit technical suggestions about v-120 that the spin scrub brushes needs slight attention so that the brushes can also do THOROUGH(professionaly)scrub during washing. Secondly, the noise of the machine is high. A reduction in noise of the machine will definitely help in selection.

The floormate cleans my tiled kitchen and utility floors extremely well. (I have a steam cleaner that doesn't do the job half as well).

I have two puppies so I needed something that was going to clean and freshen the floor easily. It also picks up the dirty water making the floor dry much quicker.

It is a little noisy but it does the job I wanted it to so I am can put up with it.

I have a large tiled kitchen/diner and utility rooms. We also have a large slobbery dog and 2 slobbery kids and this machine is an excellent alternative to mop and bucket. There are a few areas I would improve though:

1. Cleaning fluid and waste reservoir could be larger, I need to refill 3-4 times for the large tiled floor area I am cleaning.

2. brushes could be longer and a bit stiffer to get the crud out of the grout. pre-treating helps but longer and stiffer scrubbing action would be better still.

3. The cleaner has dry vac, wet clean and suck up modes of action. I would add a pre-treat option that disables the vac and lets you apply cleaning solution with scrubbing action to the floor. This would improve dwell time and also cleaning efficacy, as the wet clean option is just too effective at sucking up the cleaning fluid as soon as it is applied to the floor.

finally, I also own a bissel pro-heat carpet/hard floor cleaner. It is heavy, cumbersome and is not much use at hard floors though better at carpetted areas. Suffice to say it is hardly ever used (last time was to clean vomit from a childs mattress) and is never used for hard floors due to the ppor quality of the hard floor attachment. By contrast the VAX is used 3-4 times a week and is no more effort than a vacuum cleaner is for the carpetted rooms.

I have used the Foormate all over my house: laminated floors in bedrooms, lounge & hall and tiles in bathrooms and kitchen. I was amazed to see how dirty the water was afterwards even though it was not long since I had cleaned them all using a mop & bucket. I now feel I can get all my floors really clean and I would certainly recommend it to anyone with hard floors as with the old mop & bucket you never knew what was being left behind and of course you were using dirty water over & again but with this system you know you are always using clean water.

My Wife has limited mobility, so I used the machine. My Wife has to use crutches & finds wet surfaces very hazardous to try walking on, the Floormate hard floor cleaner left the floor with so little water that it dried in the short time my Wife was in the shower, and the floor was safe & clean.

I used the Floormate in our main living area, kitchen, and hall way. It worked absolute wonders on all the floor surfaces, especially the main room with a black floor. It was very easy to use, and very quick too - far more effective than a mop. I would recommend it, without a doubt. It was a fantastic machine, and I'm looking forward to using it more & more!
