I have used the dry cleaner and found it good. I have not as yet used the wet cleaner as the weather has been so poor. I shall wait until the spring when the weather has improved before using the wet cleaner.

A great product that does all the advertising says and more. I purchased it to remove Amtico flooring dressing which turns to slush with the remover solution. It ate it up! I then used it to wash the floor and suck up the dirty solution several times, which it did really well. I then had to vacuum the carpets and was amazed at the strong suction and excellent results. I still have a Dyson and the results were better. On to carpet cleaning and again I was delighted with the results. Altogether the bungalow has 2,500- 3000 sq. ft. so I needed a lot of power and efficiency which I got in spades.
Assembly was pretty easy and the whole pack is robust. I liked the spin-scrub head which really got into the pile. It moves very easily, too.
My only criticism would be about the clipping of the clean water/solution tube on the outside of the suction hose. It is a bit clarty and comes off, particularly when emptying the dirty tank. Maybe a bit of simple redesign to include the tube securely inside the hose would help, with a small length at either end to plug into the cleaning head and machine body. Even more clips might solve it!
That is a minor problem with a super, robust multi-purpose machine which has been really excellent value for money - even more so with the deal I had when purchasing simply and easily direct from Vax.
I wholeheartedly recommend the machine to anyone needing great performance and value for money.

I have only used it as a vaccuum cleanaer so I can not comment on the spin scrub as yet.
The suction is great especially as I have 2 dogs great for the dog hairs. It has a nice long cable to reach to the top of the stairs the only down side is it doesn't have a slim nozzle for those hard to reach corners. And I would have preferred a cloth bag to the paper ones but these are only minor faults in my opinion otherwise I am really pleased with the vax.

My previous carpet cleaner was an upright Bissell Proheat Turbo machine. The machine worked very well initially before a number of things started to go wrong and in the end I couldn't use it because there was insufficient suction which left the carpet very wet and the water jets were very prone to clog up.
I decided to purchase the VAX 6151T machine mainly because of the simplicity in its design and the powerful motor which is necessary to generate a reasonable high suction.
I have used the VAX twice now and I am very happy with its performance. The only design feature I dislike is the foot operated water on and off switch. I find it difficult to operate with my foot and in the end I have to bend down to switch it by hand. It would be better if the switch was designed higher up and integrated into the pipe hand grip.
The 6151T Multivax is the ideal total home cleaning system. This powerful bagged multifunction cleaner vacuums, washes carpets and also sucks up accidental spills. Its SpinScrub wash head loosens and lifts embedded dirt and stains and Dual V suction ensures your carpets dry quickly.
