Mach Zen C91-MZ-B

I am very pleased with my vax machine so far and as I only use every 2nd day I was shocked at the amount of dirt that was in the machine especially as I have only rugs downstairs carpets upstairs so I am Impressed

Received this vacuum cleaner just in time for Christmas. Lots of small children visiting with the normal resulting mess. The wet weather didn't help with dogs & cats but I have to say the first impressive thing about the Mach Zen is it's quietness. It is possible to use it whilst guests were in conversation or listening to music without any complaints. It's very thorough about it's business & portable & with the long hose the carpeted staircase is a doddle. Our other cleaner is a Kirby which has been indefatigable over the years
but your relatively lightweight machine is like a racehorse in comparison.
We love it & would recommend it to everyone

i have bought loads of hoovers over the years and this is by far the best
my daughter commented it was more of a work out than the dyson as the suction was so powerful she had to work harder to hoover up

Superb value for money. The C91-MZ-B Mach Zen lives up to its promises - it's quiet yet has great suction. The tools are at hand so you don't lose them and spend precious time searching for them. It stores away very nicely and you can 'park' the hose so that it is not sprawled out around the floor. I've given myself 10/10 for choosing it. I haven't yet found any negative features and it doesn't take my husband nearly as long to get the cleaning done!

This is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It has excellent suction power, easy to move around and does exactly what it should. Very easy to empty with no mess.
But be aware that you will never realise how much dirt is in your house until you use this Vax. It made me wonder how much my old vacuum cleaner was missing. Best purchase in a long time plus 6 year warranty.

I am very impressed with the Vax overall, but do have an issue with little brush, it does move around a lot when using on stairs and also the head comes off too easily in the middle of hoovering.
Also i feel that the main plastic head for floor hoovering doesn't always stay on the carpet, but maybe its just the way i hoover!
But all in all, very good value for money. Well done.

Of all the vacuum cleaners I've owned, this one stands out a mile as being the best. Very pleased with its performance, cable length, capacity and power. I actually enjoy hoovering now!

Bought this as a replacement for a Dyson cleaner that broke down. This machine I find is easier to use with a long hose and great suction. The suction when hoovering the floor is superb and if I were to criticise one thing it is that when you remove the hose for upholstery the suction is probably a bit too powerful. Opening the vent on the handle does not reduce it significantly enough.
That is a minor gripe though and this is a great vacuum cleaner.

Small compact light and really powerful.
The hoover is quieter than our previous Vax upright cleaner and the suction is beyond compare.
The price is very competitive compared to other similarly priced machines.
We inherited a long haired cat and were considering throwing out a nice rug due to the cat hair that we couldn't shift. This machine has brought it up like new. Very impressed.

Its a fantastic machine, only gripe is that the accessories don't click into place very well. That aside the best cleaner we've ever had

After my extremely old dyson finally gave up and died, my partner and i decided we needed a new vacuum, but didnt want to spend a massive amount of money on one, so we looked up different types of vacuums and came across the vax mach zen, at a very reasonable price on amazon. So we ordered it and i was very pleased with the quick delivery and even more pleased with the actual vacuum itself. After using an awkward upright dyson for years i suddenly asked myself WHY??! The ease of use was the first thing i noticed about the mach zen, i didnt even have to read the instruction manual, it was that simple to pop together and work out where everything went. As for the suction, wow...if anything the suction on carpet and rugs was too much and i had to open up the air hole thingy to lesson it a bit. It cleans up every bit of dirt, dust, whatever it comes across so easily and is very light weight, and also height adjustable which is another bonus. It cleans under my sofas, gets right to the skirting boards, and is a dream to use. Infact i think i'm slightly in love with my new vacuum its that good!

Great machine.

The only down side is the weight,
a bit heavy when Vacuuming the stairs.

It's so quiet! I bought it after reading a review on the Tesco Direct website. The man writing had done all the research and had listed all the features he was looking for, they pretty much coincided with mine. Noise wasn't one of them! I had an upright Dyson before which I was happy with in the main, just irritated by the real faff to use any of the tools. The Dyson died so I had the chance of a change and I'm glad I choose the Vax Mach Zen. It's light, easy to use, glides around after you, cleans really well sucking up the carpet, easy to use the tools, oh and did I mention how quiet it is? There is only one downside, I can't reach the top of my stairs with the hose, so I'm having to get used to transporting it up to get to the top. But it's not heavy anyway so no big deal. Oh yes, and it's really quiet.

We are very pleased with the overall perfomance of the machine. It is quiet and easy to use, and the filters are simple to remove and clean. The only bad point is the upholstery tool: although the head rotates to allow it to get into difficult spaces, it fails to lock in position and so rotates whilst cleaning. This design needs to be looked at for future models

We made the decision to purchase this vacuum cleaner based on a number of important factors:
1) We were able to easily disassemble and reassemble the machine in the store before reading the instructions without having to use a complicated three-handed technique like some of the other options
2) The device clearly stated the electrical power AND suction power where many competitors (including the perceived "brand leader") did not include this information anywhere on the packaging. The suction power in particular was very impressive.
3) It was lightweight but did not feel overly plasticky and the materials felt solid (and looked good!)
4) It had a larger capacity than similar devices
5) VAX have a reputation for excellent customer service and backed up with a 7 year warranty, this seemed like a good investment

Since getting it home and using it, our verdict is that this is an excellent device:

PROS
1) Excellent suction
2) Very, very quiet (don't be fooled by this, as the suction is still powerful enough to pull up carpet)
3) Compact accessories
4) Easy use including emptying (caveat: we haven't needed to wash the filters yet)
5) Easy to transport
6) Generous power cable reel (a short electrical cable on our last device was a bugbear)

CONS
None that we've found so far

Good machine, quiet with efficient suction. Only weak point is the quality of the connection between the suction hosepipe and the metal tube that runs down to the cleaning head. This was cheap and flimsy and nowhere near as good as on Miele or Panasonic machines. Overall very good

Only vacuumed the house with it once. I didn't think I would ever say this but it's a bit too strong. Would be nice to have a way to reduce power a bit, opening the vent to the maximum is not enough. Having the vent closed it's impossible to move it on a carpet! It lifts the glued carpet and makes it hard to move the tube back and forth! I can see this being a problem with older people, I'm 34 but have a bad back and hurt it while trying to use it with the vent closed, could barely move for a day, I know it sounds dramatic but it's true and hadn't happened for many, many months.

The other problem is with the connection between the telescopic tube and the end tube. There's no clip of any kind, and because the suction is so strong, sometimes when I'm dragging the tube backwards by the handle, both tubes separate from each other. The clip for this on my previous vacuum cleaner actually broke and had to be glued so I thought it was good not to have one, but this system isn't great either.

It looks great, it's quieter than normal, the telescopic tube is very long which is good for someone tall like me and it came with more accessories than I expected. I won't be using the clip on the back to park it because it looks too fragile. 6 year warranty sounds brilliant.

Finally, would be nice to have some rough suggestion in the manual as to how often to clean the filters, though I understand that's not easy as it depends on house size and how much dust there is when vacuuming.

Very efficient machine. Great suction and ideal for picking up pet hairs if you have the turbo brush head

Overall we are very happy with the machine. Good points are 1.Plenty of suction, 2.Lighter than our previous(Dyson) 3.Quiet, much quieter than we were used to, 4.The head attachment is a bit smaller this might seem strange, but it concentraates the vacuum better and the head fit in places that the Dysin one didn't.

No problems with the product. Suction is good & strong. The handle is too bulky and the accessories such as crevice tool & 2-in-1 tool kept dropped off while using the handle/hose to clean the floor using the combination floor tool. I would rather have a simple handle which is easier & less bulky to use and accessories should be on the machine.

Great suction on both carpet and wooden flooring. The tools fit neatly into the handle for storage, it is easy to see when the bagless cylinder needs emptying and easy to do so. Very quiet operation and feels sturdy yet light to pick up.

We looked long and hard re replacing our upright Hoover hoover (not very good at all!)with something else and of course reviewed just about every make and every comment on every make before plumping for this VAX. Previous to our Hoover hoover we had an upright VAX which was very good - good enough to disappear into the removal company's store for good! But having seen the new lot on the shelves I wasn't that convinced over build quality but now we've bought this one I can assure you that it is really hardy; simple attachments, simple bag (no bags actually!); amazing hose length and really quiet! And it really gets the dust up - wow!

So good choice; 4/5 as we've only had it a month.

I bought this vac to replace my old Vax which I thought was very good but the power of the new one is amazing and it is so much quieter than the old one. I am very pleased with my purchase and I will recomend it to my friends.

Well, it's had a couple of outings and so far so good. If it lasts as long as our previous Vax (20+ years) then we shall be more than happy. Our old Vax out-lived the Dyson and Hoover we'd bought as replacements. They just fell to bits. So fingers crossed for the young 'un :-) ta dave...

The product is reasonably light although it appears bulky to us after using another more compact brand of pet hoover. The tendency is to empty the cleaner every time its used as you have the ability to see what's been collected because of the clear chamber (something that is not possible with a bagged cleaner and you either leave it to overfill or end up pulling the bag too early).

The fittings on the adjustable tube feel sort of a flimsy fit but seem to hold together well, only time will tell on its longevity. The adjuster control catch on the tube working in the opposite direction (pushing down the clip to compress the pipe) takes a but of getting used to after a one handed action of our old appliance.

The power is very good and it is indeed much quieter than our previous major brand pet quality cleaner.

Value for money: only time will tell but the extended guarantee has to be a bonus. Our last similar appliance lasted around 5 years but eventually the plastic catches on lids gave up which lead to the option of buying expensive replacement parts or buying new which is obviously what we have done.

ive turned into a domestic goddess love this product couldnt stop using this as soon as i recieved it great suction very easy to manoeuvre only a couple of draw backs coundnt reach top of the stairs fittings are a bit flimsy and not easy to store but overall a great little machine.

I chose this model purely for the claim that it offered 70% less noise than other vacuum cylinders.
Having a dog which moults for England, the vacuum is therefore used daily and we have been using a Dyson upright (wife's choice). I find the noise levels of this machine to be extortionate for the performance it delivers compared to the price paid.
I am glad to say I wasn't at all disappointed at the noise output of the Vax but I am slightly annoyed at the congregation of dog hairs around the base of the container where the hose connects.

Excellent machine - quiet, light and easy to use. Attachments are good, and stored conveniently. Only improvement would be to have an attachment for cleaning stairs/upholstery. That would be useful as neither the little brush or nozzle are suitable for this task.

When I first used it, I was so impressed of the suction, my carpets havent been that clean for ages. My son was very frightened of the noisy hoover I had previously and when he heard this one he even stood by the door of the room it was so quiet. It's the best buy I have done in ages.

Very powerful sometimes too powerful. Quite heavy and occasionally difficult to manoevre. The carpet/floor head sometimes 'bounces' over carpet when being drewn towards the operator. Having said that very useful machine - glad I bought it.

If you are looking for a quiet, efficient vacuum cleaner this is it. I can't believe the amount of dust and fluff it picked up the first time i used it,and i have vacuumed every day with a Hoover Aquamaster. The metal pipes are light weight and extend enough to reach the ceiling, the head on the small dusting brush can be turned around to clean any angle,the dust container is easy to empty takes about 5 minutes to clean. If you don't push the pipes together properly they do wobble but are getting better as they bed in.(I would recommend this cleaner, even my husband agrees it very quiet) he used to hate the noise my old one made. This vaccuum cleaner is very quiet with amazing suction. It is light to carry, which is important to me, as my house is on three floors. It has good manoeuvrability and the angle of the cleaning head makes getting into the smallest space an easy task. I have experienced no trouble in emptying and cleaning this machine. The only minus is that on some types of carpet it is very hard to push the cleaning head forward and back and I have to resort to lowering the brushes (for hard surfaces )to get a result. Apart from that one point, a great little vaccuum cleaner.

Good suction. Lightweight. It is difficult to push the head backward and forward over carpet it is not smooth. First time with a bagless hoover and am impressed.

Not sure what to expect from this sort of vacuum cleaner,have always purchased standard format bagged type before but decided maybe a change was the way to go. Firstly the main difference i noticed was the power,i did not have to keep going over the same area to get the deep down dirt out,a couple of passes was all that was required and the amount lifted could be seen in the clear dirt collector. The large cleaning head was more than adequate for the large areas of carpet and floor i have, the small bristled head was ok for furnishings and curtains however i would have liked one without bristles (as with old type cleaners)which are great for stairs/ hard to get into areas. The only real niggles i have are:-tool storage which i think would be better on the cleaner not the hose and the hose itself which is not as strong as other cleaners i have had and may possibly fail in future. All the above said i am very pleased with the experience and the results and would buy again should the need arise but would love the small changes to be looked at.

I think it is a great machine.. It is very very light, quiet but the main downsides for this hover is :- You don't have any less power suckling leaver for kitchen floors (laminate floors)..The other is the attachment head fits on to the hover itself the head keeps falling off and you have to keep pushing the connection back on which is the only downsides to the device..

A very good vacuum cleaner, good suction. My only criticism is that where the solid tube hose fits in it can work loose and twist around. It doesn't feel very secure or strong. But overall very good.

I have had the machine for about a month and used about six times. The vacumm cleaner has a very powerful suction and will deal with both carpets and hardfloor more than adeqautely. The motor is very quiet but the suction head is loud. Very easy to empty the bin but its best done outside over a bin or open it in a bin liner then quickly spray a mist of water inside to stop the dust escaping out. But overall a very good vacuum cleaner.Well worth the money. The extension pipe can work loose from the handle and fall off. The machine a tad heavy to carry around especially on the stairs. I have yet to see how the filters survive. Have to wait for a year I guess. I would prefer to have some sort of power control so that I can clean the lighter fabrics eg curtain and rugs more easily.

Hello Vax Team, I never normally reply to requests for feedback but this time I will be delighted to! This is without doubt the best cleaner I have ever bought. I have tried three other brands within the last 2 years and I have finally found one that does the job! The suction is amazing and minimal effort is required to clean the floor (I had to remove the cleaning head from my last cleaner and actually use the tube only in order to pick up everything!). The vax cleans everything first time. Well built, a great price and outstanding performance. Really pleased - thank you!

Best vac i have ever used, dumped my useless Dyson, that was a waste of money.

I feel that the pipe could have been more stronger metal, but overall it has a good suction. Overall I rate it out of ten I give it eight.

My son does the vacuuming as one of his chores and even he was impressed with the VAX's performance. It is lovely and quiet, looks good and performs brilliantly, also the tools are very handy and easily accessed. My parents are now thinking of buying one!

I am very happy with the Vax, it does every thing it says on the box. Plenty of suck, also very easy to clean out. Nice long lead, can clean the stairs in one go.

I am very pleased with my new Mach Zen. It does everything I want it to and the things that annoyed me about my old Vax (Pet Performance 2007) have been fixed. The handle to the pole is more comfortable, the lead has been re-positioned in a better place so I am not running over it all the time. It's light weight and easy to manoeuvre without having to tug and weaken the hose, the power lead seems longer and it's a lot quieter. It is very powerful and I am glad I chose this one over the lower model. It's very easy to empty and I was constantly changing the filters on the old Vax but this one seems to be much better probably due to the new filtrating system. I received a 6 year guarantee too which is fab! I would thoroughly recommend the Mach Zen.

We have been using a Dyson for some years now & it expired recently, instead of dashing out & buying another, I researched the internet & was very impressed with the feedback from the Vax C91-MZ-B Mach ZEN, on top of that a 6yr guarantee. On taking it out of the box, what an eye-catching sleek design & so quiet in operation. We have a dalmatian that moults all the time, but I have never seen everywhere so pet-hair free. It's a big five star rating from us.

I have been looking for ages for a quiter cleaner when I saw your ad I bought it. I must say I was not in the least dissapointed it is so much quiter than all the other cleaners I have had.

It is very compact and quite light in wieght also it has a good suction which I was a bit dubious about as it had a smaller motor than I have had before but it picks up realy good in fact better than some of the bigger motors. I would like to say I am very pleased with it especialy the sound.

This machine is the revolution in vacumming, no more is the vacuum clean irrating due to the high decibels as this machine is a pleasantly 70% less noiser than the standard machine, hence it can be used at anytime of the day with minimal disturbance to any body at all inhouse or any of the neighbours, i was so impressed with the machine, i bought another 3 for prsents for relatives, as this is a must have for a clean household.

The suction is second to none, as when i do the rug, it just wants to eat it up, very impressive indeed, its not heavy at all to move round, and very pleasing to the eye, you could say that it is bit of eye candy for the carpets, lol.

I would give it 6 stars out of 5 ******

Oh and the service from Vax is outsanding as well.

The machine is heavier than I expected but the suction is great. It's not as easy to store as an upright because of it's size but the little features such as the clip to attch the hose while it is not being used are great.

Good points:
1 Very quiet
2 Can buy turbo brush and it works well
3 Excellent performance

5 Like the 6 year warranty
6 Does not lose suction ( as bagged alternatives would )

Slightly Annoying:
1 Tubes and accessories do not positively lock. Although that also makes for easy changeover of accessories.

An excellent product that is easy to use, powerful and does not lose suction power.

I bought this over the internet, researching for a good Vacuum cleaner and came to this one, I have not been disappointed and so far it has been a great purchase.

All that it says it is! Very quiet, powerful(the suction takes you by surprise when you've been used to a lesser machine), easy to clean, compact for a big vacuum cleaner and excellent value for money compared with other top brands. Already recommended to friends and family.

Suction is very good. The only criticism would be the handle which is quite uncomfortable if you are hoovering for any length of time.

Wow what a vacuum, it's quite, powerful, the only downside is it doesn't come with a dedicated hard floor tool. We ended up buying one that fits another Vax as the tube is the same size on all Vax`s and would recommend doing this as it's a lighter floor tool making the job easier.

Brilliant machine ..... my daughter is in a small rented apartment in LOndon and was suffering from (we think) allergy to dust ..... cant asy what caused the result but the vax machine took out so much dust from her mattress ... which was of course used by others previously.

Does the job perfectly; surprisingly quiet, which means that I can clean the carpet without waking up my kids by the noise and even have a conversation in the same room. Friend has got the new model Dyson, which is very loud compared to Vax.

very good product is quiet as it says compared to some vacume cleaners , very good suction , , evry thing is very good , or should i say excelent so far ,

1) the hose that attaches to the floor cleaning attachment does not click in so unless you really push it in hard it seems wobbly and loose ,

2) the handle to lift the machine should be more central because it is a natural to lift from the top ,but it is more to the side ,and feels off balance when lifting

Delighted with the suction - picks up everything - unlike previous vac!
Don't need full extension of tube for general cleaning but very useful for the cobwebs on conservatory ceiling!
Have found emptying it easy but have had trouble replacing dirt container.
Tube has also come out of handle during use, very annoying, but stayed in once readjusted. Must remember to check it's fully in before starting.

On first impressions it is very good. We have only ever had another brand of vacuum cleaner that is almost double the price of this one, and this one seems to do the job even better than the other make. Very impressed by theis Vac very much quiter than my other ones. The kids dont have to turn the tele up when i Hoover now.

Impressive performance

The machine is amazingly quiet, though it is bigger and heavier than I expected. The suction power is very good but unfortunately it is not adjustable, i.e. you need to control the suction by the tiny cap on the hose!!!

Excellent hoover, best I have had ever!! Brushes do the job removes every last spec of dust of the rug, wooden floor brush excellent also!! Well worth every penny spent.

Machine is quiet and compact. Works really well on hard floors but is difficult to use on longer pile carpets. Good hand tools. Happy with the purchase.

Very pleased with this vacuum cleaner. Definitely quieter than other cleaners I have used, and it is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre around the house and vacuuming stairs.

Its brilliant, the suction power is amazing, its so easy to empty the only negative side to it is the telescopic pipes they seem to be a little flimsy and the top pipe keeps coming out of the pipe below it, but other than that i love it.
I did have before this one a dyson which i thought was really good but it doesn,t beat this one.

Really powerful machine which pulls up all the pet hairs, the only negative is that although it brings all the hairs up to the surface, you need to repeatedly go over them to actually suck them up.
A designated pet hair brush would be a great addition to this wonderful cleaner.

I am very impressed with how quite this hoover is and so easy to empty and clean.A replacement for my Dyson and I think a good chose.
Good suction and light to move,only criticisum is the wand seems a little flimsy by comparason ,overall a pleasing hoover .

The cleaner is certainly powerful and very quiet, the accesories are very cheap and tacky and do not help in the overall assessment of the machine.

i love the extended pipe that comes with it sves me stretching to get the cobwebs down.
i love the fact that it is bagless so no more buying new bags every week

I think the Mach Zen is brilliant! I read all the reviews before deciding to buy the product. I have a black carpet in my bedroom and it shows up everything! the Mach Zen makes the carpet look like new again! It really does take the effort out of vacuuming. The carpets look great and the rooms smell fresh would highly recommend this product.

Great cylinder cleaner. Well made, powerful, quiet and not too heavy. Buying the turbo brush as an extra made all the differene to cleaning the carpet.

What a great purchase. I always buy Vax products after being let down by many other brands. This is a great replacement for my old vax upright. Easy to store & use, has great suction - not sure where the dirt comes from though :). I would reccomend this product to anyone. Thanks

This is a top notch appliance, noise reduction from my previous vacuum is a big big plus, excellent suction and easy storage if possible a longer flex would make this the ideal vacuum

brilliant what more can i say.
just two things: the spring for the electric cord doesn't seem strong enough to fully wind in the cord and the plastic end of the nozzle were you fit the attachments to is very good ,week and doesn't grip the metal tube very well which is a bit annoying when it keeps falling off.
but overall a good machine 9/10

It is on the whole a good hoover, it does pick up well. What I do not like is the stair brush which for some reason spins around. Also the flex when it get warm has a habit of winding itself back in. I do useit a lot as I have a dog, two cats and loads of teenager in and out of the house.

Fantastic... after 2 miserable experiences with 'Sydon' (if you know what we mean), this machine just about sucks the carpet off the floor.... the best vacuum cleaner we've ever purchased by a yard and a half!

This vacuum has a very good suction i would recommend it to anybody. Its great that you can see what your sucking up and is also easy to keep clean. Although it is high in price it is worth every penny. It is also great that you have a 6 year guarantee with it and just a phone call away if anything goes wrong with it. I think you should get extra filters with it so you always have 1 to use when the other 1 is getting washed.

I found the suction on this really good, it picks up almost everything, a lot different from my 6151SX Wash Vac which hardly picked up at all. So I am very pleased. It's a pity it doesn't come with more attachments though.

This is the best hoover i have ever had & ive had lots of them, No more bags is just brillant. I have black carpet on the stairs &landing which is a nightmare but this hoover takes some of the pain out of it, i wouldnt use anything else again.

it's very quiet, a bit heavy, and the tools keep falling out of the handle. I only found out the other day that the brush has another part - it isn't easy to change though.
It cleans beautifully and my family say that the house smells fresher.

I bought this Vax Mach Zen to replace my old Vax Rapide Plus which has lasted thirteen years (so fingers crossed). the build is as strong, as is the suction. what stands out is with this model is that it is far less noisy. the design looks good and the dust container capacity is about right, and the cord lenght is very good. Overall i am impressed with my purchase bought for a competitive price.

Light and easy to use. Powerful suction. The only downside i have is that its not that easy to store as it doesn't fold away like some designs do. All in all would recommend to a friend.

I only buy Vax products, but my new Mach Zen is brilliant - the best so far. If there's any disadvantage, it's that the main pipe wobbles slightly whilst being used, but the machine's quiet, runs smoothly and has great suction power. Unlike some other vacuum cleaners I've used, it doesn't cut out on me.
It's easy to clean and empty, and sucks up pet hairs with ease. I'd definitely recommend it.

Quite clumsey to pick up due to the position of the handles and heavier than I thought it would be which, combining the two makes it awkward for doing the stairs especially with a bad back!

The plastic pipe that the attachments go into also feels wobbly when pushing along. it doesn't seem to push inside far enough!!

I love the Vax Mach Zen! It is so small and stylish that it can easily be stored in any small cupboard. The performance of this modern vacuum is amazing too. Not only is the Zen bagless - meaning that you don't have to buy any more bags, but has a very strong suction power. The suction power is amazing, guaranteed to stay for the lifetime of the cleaner.

I also like the ease of use, everything required is at your fingertips. Crevice tool, telescopic extension tube, 2-in-1 dusting brush/upholstery tool and combination floor tool are all contained on the hose/handle and can be simply switched as required. This the quietest vacuum cleaner I've owned. It comes with a 6 year guarantee, it has a large bag-less compartment with easy to reach and clean filters, its move-ability is very light and the 1600w motor gives you a great sucking vacuum cleaner. The performance is far better than any other vacuum cleaner I've used for everyday dirt including dog hairs. I've used it with an optional extra turbo floor head for exceptional cleaning on solid to carpeted floors. I would rate this as a 10/10 for an easy to use vacuum cleaner.

I have used the Vax Mach Zen for the first time today and was amazed just how good it was. It was really quiet, unlike my old vacuum, and was so easy to manoeuvre about. I actually did all of the vacuuming in under a third of the time i would usually take. The attachment head easily reaches under items e.g the table or, in my case, a cot and reached right into the skirting boards and corners without having to change attachments. It also has great suction and did my stairs in minutes. Afterwards my carpets looked almost new. I also tried it on my laminate flooring in the living room and it worked a treat there too. I

this is the best hoover i have ever had... its brilliant, its great for hard wood floors and carpets... its doesnt loose suction even when it's full,its easy to empty and clean out. the telescopic handle is great aswell. its also very quiet which is another good feature. i would definalty recommend this to anyone especially pet owners!

For me, this is Vax's best cylinder to date. It is very easy to use and extremely powerful. The dirt container is large and very simple to empty, the filters are large and easy to remove and clean, and, like they say, it does not lose suction. The power cord is lovely and long (8 metres),unlike previous models I have owned. It is quieter than all other vacuum cleaners I have owned but it is still quite noisy, but to me this is to be expected of a powerful machine. I like the fact that it has a six year guarantee as this gives peace of mind that it is a quality product. The only gripe I have with it (and why I did not give it a 5 rating) is that it does not come with a TurboBrush as standard, but I have put my TurboBrush from my previous model on it and now I think it is the perfect machine!

I am very pleased with my Vax, the suction and pick-up from carpet to wood flooring/tiles is great. It is also very easy to empty and maintain - also like the retractable flex, no more bending down to untangle!

We have 6 cats - so you can imagine our poor carpets when the cats moult, come in from the garden etc. And we have a large open wood burning fire - so this means dust, dust and more dust! We could never find a vacuum cleaner that made you feel like your carpets were clean. We have tried so many different makes, some better than others, but none up to the job.
