Really good hoover, picks up the pet hair and makes the carpet look like new again. Just a little hard to turn around if you want to go in a different direction, really happy with it.

A good light weight machine, however the dust cylinder is a bit to small and gets clogged very quickly.

Very heavy. It's a full body work out, especially when on 'low' height setting. Very noisy. Very effective. Pulls out hair that the outgoing and much loved (by me but not the wife) Henry Hound totally ignored. Cable holder really too small for length of cable. Rotating brush tool attachment falls out of its clip very easily. I managed to strip a length of outer cable sheath by running over it with the rotating brush bar - very easily done.

This hoover is brilliant! I cannot fault the way it sucks up, but then again i haven't had it long, so only time will tell! It is easy to use on the stairs as the handle pulls out from the top and then allows you to hold the cylinder with ease and is lightweight. Also it doesn't pull on my back as others have in the past just to get a decent suction. The only fault i could say about it is that it doesn't have cord rewind which i find very useful, but that is only personal preference and nothing to do with the performance of the machine. All in all, very pleased.

it is the best upright cleaner ever made, totally fantastic on dog hair and as for the dust busting it is second to none.we cleaned our mattress and could not believe the dust it sucked out.
our carpets look brand new again.

thankyou very much.

Fantastic hoover, suction is fantastic, slightly heavier than I had thought but all round it works brilliantly.

As I have a Gardener, a Carpenter and a Springer Spaniel in the home after considerable research I bought this model to replace a defunct Dyson - having now used it I find it does it's job to perfection, the only comment I would make is that it would be useful if the flex storage were slightly larger to accommodate the length of flex supplied.

Vac has a very good suction, The handle is very awkward to push with the hole in the top of the pipe. To take the suction hose off so you can use one of the attachments is very awkward and long winded. To fold the lead away is too low down and once again very awkward and long winded. With the above 3 "awkward" items l would not buy it again, the only thing it has going for it is the good suction.

I am satisfied with my new vacuum, however I was happier with my Vax Performance 1900 W,the cleaner is still in perfect working order but a wheel broke and as it is an obsolete model and the Vax company could not send a replacement part, I purchased my new Vax.
I have since managed to find a person who could repair my old Vax, hence I have now got two working Vax cleaners.
Sincerely Dorothy Jones.

The hoover is great. It has very good suction power and picks up really quick. It is easy to clean out aswell. The only problem is that it could be a little taller as it is a tad to short however I would recommend this hoover to anyone. Defiantly 5 stars from me.

Unbelievable suction, really does spruce up your tied looking carpets. Much powerful than any previous hoover we have owned, Cable seems tiresome and fiddly to wind up as there is so much of it, but has its uses being so long. Handle could have been better designed, uncomfortable grip. 3 in 1 tools not so good but does keep altogether so not to lose them. Overall it all about how clean the carpets come, dog hairs a doddle with this one, vast improvement on the mach 5 I used to own...8 out of 10

Fantastic hoover the carpets come up like new best regards to your design team the only thing you could improve would be the attachment
used for the stairs as it keeps falling off if you had a clip or a screw fitting that would solve the problem, love the attachment it does stairs great too.
I had a Dyson before your Vax outperforms that vacume cleaner 100%
Well Done
Kindest Regards

i love it, this is the best hoover i have ever had and trust me ive had a few. i clean my house in half the time it used to take. the only bad thing is the wire!!!!! there is to much to go round tidy wire cable holder thingy.
Beverley Ingram

Lightweight, easy to get around, length of wire good but a right pain to wind up each time u wanna use takes ages to unwind and gets wrapped around the hose seems very backward in comparison to the previous vax hoover I had and the airforce was a replacement. The hose is a pain it doesnt stretch v far and pulls the hoover over when used as hoover light also you have to clip and unclip the hose which takes time. Overall not bad just some features seem like they have gone backward.

I am very pleased with my new vax air force pet vacuum cleaner. With having two very large dogs which seem to moult everyday, this proves to be no problem anymore with my vax, great suction, light to use, easy to empty. would not like to be without it. thank again vax.
kind regards.

FANTASTIC at cleaning pet hair from the carpet, best pet hoover I have yet come across as we have a large number of long hair cats...however plastic filter cloggs up with long fur and regulary and needs cleaning out using a pair of long thin tweezers to reach down the little tubes and pull out fur wrapped around the plastic divider in the middle of each tube, very fiddly!!.......also although good suction on pet attachment, the rotating brush kept stopping if in contact with sofa with more than light pressure applied

after getting the hoover home i found the product easy to put together and i could not believe the power of the suction compered to my old hoover,i was glad i didnt have to unplug to make it reach both ends of my room, when picking the hoover up how sturdy the handle was.

Just received the updated top piece to the cylinder part, nice to know that problems are resolved not at the expense of the customer Thanks. positives of the vacuum are firstly value for money, I am very pleased with the performance and especially the variable pick up suction which is necessary as the suction is so great on certain surfaces without the variable suction it would be difficult to move but a brilliant pick up lifting flat areas of pile on my new carpet. It is very easy to use the tools as unlike the dyson it can be used without having to remove the handle. It has an extra long cord and hose for the tools which means it is easier to use without having to constantly plug in or move the vacuum. I am very pleased with most aspects of the vacuum however I have 2 niggles one is having to wind the extra long cord round the catches as they are very close and when taking it off to use it can become tangled. The other more annoying is long debris eg.hair is trapped in the cyclonic section of the vacuum blocking the narrow holes this is especially made worse by the small bar section that splits the hole in two although I have not noticed that it affects the performance of the vacuum, it takes me some while when emptying my cylinder to completely remove the bits that become trapped in this section.

Pros - Clean carpets. Cons - Poor cable management. - Filter and cyclone need cleaning/unblocking after each use due to having a long haired cat who sheds a lot of fur.

A very good machine
Powerful and light weight.
Hugs the carpet nicely
Only draw backs are...
No cord rewind, and is impossible to put the cord tidy.
You feel that you are going to break the machine when you put your foot on the side to lower the handle.
And more so, a very poor design that is almost dangerous, the brush still rotes when you use the hose, this should disenegage when the machine is upright?
Sort these other things out and it would be the best machine i have brought.

We have found the hoover brilliant, we have two dogs with long coats, the air force pet makes light work of picking up all those shed hairs.

The Vax Mach Air Force Pet is a great vacuum cleaner. It is the best Pet Vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I have a cat who seems to leave cat hairs everywhere she goes. This vacuum cleaner picks up the hairs so easily especially when I use the Turbo Tool. This tool is amazing and very useful. The vacuum is a great upright cleaner but the extension and tools are even better as you can get into every corner of the house and clean the hard to reach areas. The dusting attachment is great and this is such a simple solution to removing dust from anywhere. I love the design of the vacuum and love that it is very sturdy and strong. It is a very welcome new addition to our home. I highly recommend this vacuum especially if you have pets that leave hairs anywhere and everywhere.
I find the extension and tools work best on my hard wood floors and the upright not so well. But the upright is amazing on my carpets especially my bedroom carpet. My bedroom carpet seems to have hairs which cling to it and my old vacuum just couldnt seem to cope with grabbing them off very well and it would take me ages to clean them up but this Vax is amazing and picking them up so easily. Very very impressed with the upright on the carpets. Excellent.

I have had this vax cleaner for about two weeks now and I am really pleased with the performance, the suction is very good, and the vax is a lot lighter than my previous vax mach 7. I personally dont like the three in one attachment as the brush is quite hard and not very flexible. The hose is very generous as is the cord, but I do find it difficult to wrap the cord around the holder as there isn't much room, on the whole the vax is very sturdy and it is easy to use with the flexible hose which is long enough to reach the length of the stairs.

after having a morphy richards upright I found the vax very loud and the handle very flimsy I also found when the vax is in use the tools keep falling

At first sight the Mach Air looks a bit of an animal, but you soon realise that although it has no teeth, it does have a viscious suck. It clearly picks up more than any other vacuum cleaner I have ever used. The longer power lead allows me to take the machine further without changing power sockets. With two dogs in the family this machine certainly collects more pet hair and the carpet looks like it has been hoovered. I am however not overly keen on the upright snap locking mechanism that sometimes drops when I am using it on the stairs and I would like to see some better tools, but overall, this is a machine that is hard to beat if you want some serious cleaning as a pet owner.

A very powerful cleaner, which I find a delight to use, a bit noisy , but you will not get that sort of power without a bit of noise, and a 6year guarantee as well, what more could you ask for? I am very satisfied with my purchase. Yours sincerely.

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It really sucks harder than anything else I've used before, my previous cleaner was a Dyson but the Vax out performs that hands down.

I am very pleased with the way the hoover picks up dirt etc. However, the design is ugly and fairly wide and has a cheep plastic feel to it. I find clipping the hose on and off fairly awkward and annoying to keep stopping and fiddling around when I wish to the use the hose. It could also benefit from a better brush tool.

hi the vax cleaner is ok all round but the problem we found was that the electric cable you put away was a problem as it is to tight to wind around where it is as its to compact to do this it should have been on as a auto winder like the rest of your vax's which would make it easier and where you have the handle which you pull out to use as a hose it's a pitty you couldnt put a cap on the end of it to seal it up when not in use as i found my children putting objects down there which you dont know about until you have to use it.
Apart from that it is a good cleaner and light weight compared to your other vax's good machine

This machine has very powerful suction and cleans the carpets well. However, the tools are a bit cumbersome to use. It is a bit of nuisance having to release the handle and the little brush keeps sliding down the crevice tool when you are using it. The turbo brush is good this keeps coming off its storage clip at the top of the vacuum. Also it's a pity the cable doesn't rewind because although it's a good thing to have plenty cable, when you come to wrap it around the clips on the machine they aren't large enough to take all the cable. My previous machine, which was a Mach 5, had better tools and storage facilities and also had a rewind facility for the cable and I miss those on this machine. I also find emptying the cannister is a bit more time consuming than my previous machine but overall it does a good job and as I have said before it has plenty of suction and my carpets do look good when they have been hoovered.

Brilliant suction which hasn't diminished, nice long hose and long lead though can be a pain to wind back up again.
The Air Force Pet is part of a range of bagless vacuum cleaners that are our most powerful multi-cyclonic uprights. It's ideal for homes with pets, with an antibacterial H12 HEPA filter and a TurboTool for removing pet hair.
