Clear the area thoroughly first

Clear the area of loose items which would stop your progress, so you can navigate quickly and easily around the area which is to be cleaned. Vacuuming up any surface debris before you wash your carpets will make the job much easier and will help to prevent your carpet cleaner from getting clogged.
