I have been meaning to buy a carpet cleaner for a long time, Never knowing which one would suit me best. Finally decided on the Vax Platinum Smart wash pet Design. Best decision I have made in a long time. We have a four bedroom house, five rooms have carpet, and two have hard floors. Our carpets are quite old now but I was impressed how clean and bright they looked after using the Vax cleaner. It also came with a free steam floor cleaner which was ideal for the hard floors. All in all very pleased.

What a great carpet cleaner

I purchased this to replace my old vax power wash which was quite heavy and as I’ve had a few years I saw this one on offer Wow I can’t believe how much better it is, it’s lighter and with the lights showing you when it’s washing and then drying it great. It didn’t use as much water with having this feature so was dryer in the finish The dry only mode is another bonus

Easy to set up, use and clean

Having an old Vax canister type Carpet Cleaner which has now decided to stop working, I have had to buy one of the new Vax Carpet cleaners. I had been looking at these for a while but while to old Vax kept working was not going to splash out on replacing. After much deliberation and comparisons of the different models (and some low-cost versions in sale and budget stores) I ordered from Vax and waited delivery, it arrived in a couple of days, and I had to test it out almost straight away. Carefully reading the instructions, expecting it to be complicated to set up and use I could not believe how simple it is. Less hassle than the old canister Vax. Our carpets were in the house when we moved in nearly four years ago and really are past there best, very grubby on areas of foot fall (ie between doors), the old machine did clean them up somewhat but left the pile still flattened. The new Vax with its brush action rejuvenated the pile and left the carpet looking cleaner than the old Vax did. Considering the state of these old carpets I was more than pleased with the results, I can only imagine how good it would be on carpets that are not past their best. I vacuumed before washing, but the amount of extra fluff and cat hair the new Vax lifted out of the carpet was amazing. Cleaning the machine is so easy, the cover (which incorporates the shampoo delivery) and the bushes lift out for easy cleaning in the sink, just leaving a wipe around with a cloth on the front of the machine. Only grumble is the week after I ordered they put it on sale and the price dropped a bit. Oh well…. To sum up, Easy to set up Easy to use Easy to clean

Very impressed with this vax my only one negative is the round power brush sems to be noisy ( possibly bearings or gears ) so I will monitor it just to see how long it lasts

A fantastic machine, easy to use and cleans the carpets and rugs very well. I was amazed how much dirt and sand came out of the carpets. I love the “only dry” button, the carpets were dry in an hour. The machine is also easy to clean and it’s great that the brushes are removable to give them a good rinse. I thoroughly recommend the carpet cleaner, it’s worth every penny.
