The effect that this machine can have on carpets is very impressive and the ability to keep the machine clean easily is very important to me. Its extra large fluid capacity means less trips to refill. The manufacturers 6 year warranty also inspires a confidence in the machines ability to handle whatever I need it to do.

Good evening . I have had my vax for about two weeks now I have done the upstairs and downstairs plus the stairs it has done a fantastic job on the carpets .

I bought the VAX Platinum SmartWash XL Advanced Carpet Cleaner due to having trouble with another VAX machine, regarding leaks, and cracking. A much improved version, this has two rollers at the front. In Wash, push forward, liquid dispenses. Pull back, and it sucks it up. I find the sucking only action on Dry, used mostly, so carpet/s dry fast. I prefer the dirty water to be in a separate container, than in the roller area, as previous. I, also, like being able to clean all parts a lot easier. I got the automatic cleaning tray, which is a good idea, but it left debris in places. As said, however, it was easy to clean manually. Left the carpets/rugs feeling more springy, and with the amount of dirt picked up, it must be cleaner. So far so good.
